As players in top tier continue to enjoy new vehicles, discussions are moving towards new ARH missiles as well, many are excited about receiving the likes of R-77-1/RVV-SD, AIM120-C an so on, but some of the potential counterparts of these newer missiles are in fact already in game, such as AAM-4 and PL-12. These missiles are currently in a nerfed state to be added in directly among some IRL inferior models, as unique indigenous weapons. This however has an impact of the future of these nations.
For example, in the case of PL-12, China will not have any AMRAAM-C equivalent, because PL-12 is indeed that, but with current performance in game, it is much inferior in most departments except Gs pulled (38 vs 35) inferior to AMRAAM A models.
A less so case with AAM-4 as Japan can indeed receive AIM-120C model as well.
My real question is whether China and Japan will receive these missiles modelled properly, equivalent to their IRL competitors? This problem as previously stressed is more so with China as China can not receive any new missile model until PL-15 which give or take is drawing near 200km range.
There are a few proposals available, and they can also be applied to other missiles nerfed to be added in game:
- To make up some stats for things like a slightly improved missile like AAM-4A or
PL-12 A, the latter we do know exist but up to now for only 2 months and no reliable data is available. - To change the existing name of the missile, might be hard to implement for AAM-4 but for the likes of R-77 and PL-12, they could all get changed to RVV-AE and SD-10, the later is also currently in game, and is an exact copy of PL-12, whilst there are evidence that it is in fact an inferior export model. Same could go for R-77 before
R-77-1 addition.
3.Could also do nothing and just simply add newer missiles with selected vehicles such as RVV-SD on Su-35 with China and AIM-120C on F15Js.
This is purely a discussion on where newer ARH missiles will go.
