Further additions of the Z-10

the AH 64A is really the worst of the 3 tested in terms of handling and the Z10ME is the most responsive

Comparing heavy helicopters with medium helicopters is inherently unreasonable

looks like TV/IR yes

and also PL-90 launch

This is a different missile, possible BA-11, not sure TV/IR or just new gen Laser seeker

and Z-19 with it

also, something like TY-90 ER

What? So what justifies the higher BR now? I hope they folder the current Z-10 with some other heli, because I’m currnently grinding the Chinese heli line and would be pissed to grind 400k just for a sidegrade. I mean the AKD-10 looks neat on paper, and the 23mm might be handy but it seems to be too big of a trade off, to sacrifice MAW/LWS and the radar for this.

Well good thing you won’t need to use the Z-10 anymore since both the Z-10A (squadron) and Z-10ME are nothing just better

And can’t really folder it since the ME is a completely different helicopter and the previous Z-19 is also completely different

Friends, we might really need the CM-502KG missile because the Chinese Air Force lacks effective out-of-zone strike means. The next version is the one that most needs out-of-zone strike weapons. Otherwise, the enemy’s anti-aircraft missiles will destroy your aircraft in a second.

That didn’t prevent Gaijin to folder the Rooikat with the SA Centurion the the SA subtree in the British TT, as an example. But yes indeed, the current Z-10 looks obsolete with these additions.

I wouldn’t worry about it it’s coming.

But don’t expect the full 25km range that’s LOAL territory.
It’ll probably be around ~10km and nigh useless against MBT’s due to its small warhead

11kg warhead isn’t that small.

At least we have to start from scratch first. Otherwise, everything will remain just theory. No one will know what it would be like if the CM-502KG were really added to the game. The top priority now is to solve the problem that the Chinese Air Force has no out-of-zone strike weapons. The subsequent problems will be left to time.

It’s pretty small if you consider most 155mm HE singers have like ~15KG HE filler

Well it’s 11kg, not equivalence. The 155s only have 7-8 kg and have nearly 1.5 times TNT equivalence, the largest is 15kg from type 99 but that is only 11kg in reality, equivalence is 15.

11kg is warhead, not explosive.
for example, the WDU-24/B SAP warhead in AGM-65G is 136 kg, contains 39kg explosive equals 50kg TNT.
I don’t remember some other examples with HE warhead, but you can see the difference.

it’s not a problem even if the TNT equivalent is around 11 kg for SAP-HE the most important thing is the loft that ATGM will make, if you pay attention AKD 10 is an AGM which lofts enormously and which hits a tank practically at - 30/- 40 degrees so if the CM502KG has an important loft all the tanks will take 11 kg of explosive on the roof but that again we have to see if gaijin gives us the SAP-HE or HEAT version

There is no HEAT version of the 502

my bad thx

The IRIS-T also has a 11kg warhead how much TNT equivalent filler does it have?

So the IRIS-T has an 11.4kg warhead which in-game translates to 5.76kg of TNT equivalent.
And even at a 90° top down this doesn’t hurt any MBT apart from destroying the MG or optics

Obviously this isn’t the same thing as say the CM502 but it’s pretty much the same warhead weights

I know the CM-502KG model has been in the files now for awhile, is it safe to presume there’s no stats stashed away alongside it?
