I’m not sure what Gaijin is doing here, if they’re making ahistorical changes to the Z-10 just to make the Z-10ME seem more like a viable upgrade to game the tech tree, I will be sorely disappointed (currently, if the Z-10ME ships in its current state, the only upgrade will be the engine, DIRCM suite and the radar, giving it a BR bump in 0.3)
I should also remind that the Z-10 in general is still missing these features that are reported and acknowledged:
Well I mean Gaijin doesn’t do much modelling so they’ll have to give it out to another company/ workshop and do it there. What’s more annoying is they pretend to be blind and rejects the reports. Pretty annoying, it’s not that it doesn’t have MAWS annoys me at this point, I’m just gonna never play heli, but RN, it’s the attitude.
Z19 missing HMD // Gaijin.net // Issues
There is also the HMD system for Chinese helicopters, which GAIJIN acknowledged many years ago but has been hesitant to release
It does the job and it’s not just the engine that does everything, there’s the drag profile and lots of other things in any case the maneuverability of the Z10s is light years away from the top tier Russian helicopters otherwise you also play the AH 1W you’ll understand
It may not be the best engine but overall the Z10s are decent and this new engine is more than beneficial
with the heaviest load 8 AKD 10 and 8 TY 90 I have a climb rate of 10.1 in low attitude and to test with other helicopters not only Russian ones, there is worse in climb rate than the Z10 in full load
the Z10 remains correct without being incredible, he is average
What? So what justifies the higher BR now? I hope they folder the current Z-10 with some other heli, because I’m currnently grinding the Chinese heli line and would be pissed to grind 400k just for a sidegrade. I mean the AKD-10 looks neat on paper, and the 23mm might be handy but it seems to be too big of a trade off, to sacrifice MAW/LWS and the radar for this.
Friends, we might really need the CM-502KG missile because the Chinese Air Force lacks effective out-of-zone strike means. The next version is the one that most needs out-of-zone strike weapons. Otherwise, the enemy’s anti-aircraft missiles will destroy your aircraft in a second.
That didn’t prevent Gaijin to folder the Rooikat with the SA Centurion the the SA subtree in the British TT, as an example. But yes indeed, the current Z-10 looks obsolete with these additions.
