Friendly kill ban question

I’ve been banned for teamkilling, but only for an hour so I don’t mind waiting.
I do have a question tho: Do squad teamkills count as a teamkill?, because when i play squadron battles with my team, occasionally I like to shoot down our team’s heli/aircraft for shits and giggles after we destroy the enemy vehicles and I’m wondering if that could be one of the reasons?

Also i had teamkilled 1 or 2 helis in normal matches last week after winning matches so I believe I
understand why I got a ban
