What was Gaijin thinking? The entire coastal fleet of the French in Rank III is so overpowered that it’s impossible to compete with it. Especially since they also spawn in small boats.

The French are my least concern.
I’m more afraid of the Russian Rank III coastal with their autoloaders, armour and speed.

Yeah. They’re blue water ships that gets an coastal spawn. Vast majority of coastal boatd are unplayable.
They removed the only hard counters to them, the M17/M802 by uptiering them to 4.3.
Yes. French is powerful but even they are outdone by Soviet coastal.
No one else gets a full range of blue water boats with coastal spawn in 3.0-3.3. The most powerful Soviet coastal are pr 206 and these armored boats, far above the BR of the blue water boats.
The Italian Folaga and Gabbiano, at 3.7, are straight up outgunned.
No one else has a combo that could compete with Marne, Arras, Aconit, Amiens in 3.0-3.3. Even the toughest Soviet armored boat MBK 161 is 3.7 and does not even have an bluewater damage model.

With the Russians on BR 3.0, you are one shot against the French.
Its a frigate that means it get destroyer spawn. If Arras spawned in bluewater it would be comparable.
I though you were talking about russian 4.0-4.3. And how often do you play french 3.0-3.3 not uptiered? Personally I see a lot of french just cracking out from DD spawn when I play 4.0
lol - serious skill issues at play - the French coastal fleet is anaemic and weak - the large “boats” are deficient in firepower and anything with an auto-cannon can destroy their main armaments and keep them destroyed.
Plus there’s already plenty of threads whining about them …
