Now that EMBT is coming, there’s no reason for Leopard 2A6 to be a mandatory 400,000 RP research when it’s IDENTICAL to Leopard 2A5 except for 30mm of pen, and for it not to be foldered in the exact same way it is in the German tree.
Ideally the leopard 1a5BE can also be foldered (and moved lines)
It’s pretty silly force players to grind and unlock leopards in order to access the Leclercs
long overdue since many patches, maybe this time around it will go forward

You still have to unlock 5 vehicles at that rank, so realistically it’s still a jump from 9.3 (VBCI, AMX-32-105, etc), and that gap used to be what, 9.3 to 12.3?
And beyond that, the gap is in large part due to the lack of French additions over the past few years
Vehicles like AMX-30c2, AMX-10 TML 105 late, VAB CTA40, Warrior Toutatis, etc can help bridge the gap
yeah and imo the leopard doesnt really need to more till those come
High tier French ground used to be the most sparse of any tech tree. There was at one point a gap with no vehicles between 9.7 and 11.7 if I remember right, keep in mind this was when 11.7 was top tier. I don’t mind copy paste for the French tree. It gives me larger lineups and thus more game presence.
Yes it would be more ideal to receive unique vehicles every update but it’s clear Gaijin doesn’t have the resources to do that and have it be fair for every other tech tree (by doing the same).
As for foldering it, it will most likely happen whenever a vehicle is added after the EMBT (that, or foldering the SXXI and AZUR). Gaijin probably wants both MBT lines to have three spaces in Rank VIII. But I agree in principle that it would be nice to folder them.
