Then why does the U.S. not use it since it’s a U.S. heli and lower BR than what the U.S. start with.
Germany also used the H34 so why do they not start with it?
The whole point of the 64D’s radar dome was to leverage radar guided hellfires. You could literally launch multiple missiles at multiple targets FNF. Further it could fire on targets it couldnt even see with target data provided by Kiowas or other Longbows…
They gave us the Longbow without the Longbow Hellfire…

That is easy to answer:
The german heli tree was introduced without the H-34 being in the game. So was the US tree. When the french got theirs, the H-34 was already a US rare premium. And the french got is as a free starter. So much love!
You think that’s weird? How about a PARS3 switching from an enemy tank to an friendly one 1000m away from the target?

Switching lock is a bug you should report that to Gaijin.

As much as possible gaijin try to only add helicopters with ATGMs these days, because playing the ones they introduced without stand-off missiles is horrible (Italian and Japanese Hueys). US and Israeli Cobras get by from being reasonably fast and manoeuvrable, but still suck.
Germany never really had any other helicopter older or with worse performance than Alouette, that had missiles. So that’s why it’s their starter heli.
Current available research suggests Germany never armed their H34s; certainly not with ATGMs - so they will not get a H34. Same reason Britain doesn’t get Gazelles until we can prove otherwise.
The US H34 is based on an experimental aircraft with a single Bullpup air-to-surface missiles rather than a regular service ATGM helicopter. Which is why it was favoured as a premium rather than a regular tech tree heli.
France on the other hand had SS.11 on their H34s as regular armament, so that made it a perfect fit for what gaijin ideally wants starter helis for all nations to be like: Poor performance but reasonably effective stand-off armament.
USSR with the Mi-4 is perhaps the only other nation with this kind of ideal starter helicopter.
Britain should have a couple of Westland Whirlwinds and Wessexes in the low ranks with ATGMs, but apparently gaijin never knew Whirlwind was armed with SS.11 (to be fair it took quite a bit of community research last year to find it was), and for unknown reasons they still haven’t added a Wessex even though a Mk.5 was found in the files years ago. So, lack of research and interest (no proper consultant for the British tree lol) means Britain continues to have Scout as the starter heli - arguably one of the better starters along with the German Alouette. Which may distort how gaijin sees the need to replace it, among other general considerations regarding how the UK heli tree is performing compared to others, and the need to add more stuff to it.
In short, having Alouette as a starter heli for France instead of H-34 could have been a blessing and a curse.
There is no value in using any helicopter below 10.0 BR they are ineffective compared to aircraft or tanks based on their spawn points. Use the “helicopter research with ground research” option to bypass the pointless helicopters and begin actually playing when you’ve unlocked the Tiger.
Its true but thats why the repairs are low. You can spawn it to remove one or two campers and die but clear the way for your team. This can totally flip the table.
Fair if I had more crew slots to have a throw away vehicle. It’s also not the silver lion cost that is in question but rather the spawn point cost.
Yes sure, sometimes it doesnt pay at all, and if you completely screw up without killing anything you cannot respawn in a tank! The important is to participate XD
