Forgot they reworked that.
The PPI has been very powerful from my experience. The only time I don’t use it for guiding rolands is when firing at helicopters, so that I can aim for their cockpit.
The CS doesnt get it’s ahead belt when you spawn it like that. so it is really not an issue
I guess, though its IR missiles and having a decent gun (let alone having one in the first place) is pretty good.
Meh, the AHEAD rounds make out 50% of its capabilitys

Bringing planes to GRB (or helis if you dare) and scoring a kill often means a player will respawn SPAA and try to revenge. While this is fair, it ultimately turns CAS into a one-run-then-die kind of thing since it takes 5 seconds for someone to spawn Strela and shoot you before you can finish the pass…
AA should be more expensive or be one tier lower, I’m not a fan of CAS, but this dynamic is very annoying…

Free AA’s are already 0.7 br lower, minimum.
It also takes around 10 seconds, just be prepared
there was a mechanic introduced a while ago where if the SPAA has the aircraft locked when it fires the proxy fuse on the missile is set to go active when it gets close to the target (I don’t remember the exact ranges threshold), but if fired without lock it arms at the usual range.
It’s around 1km for most, but small rockets won’t trigger proxy either way, only larger ones can

Imo, it should take into account the players who are uptier. It should not be possible for the downtier players to have something less powerful than the first one.
Making it free should not make it easier either for the one who did not bring any spaa in the first place.
Exampe: one player bring a strela with it 10.03 lineup and someone else could get a free Tor…

Also, if you’re running a 10.3 in a full uptier, so 11.3 is the highest, the best spaa would be the 2S6, not Tor

This is just how powerful top tier SPAA is. It’s no worse for the game than how powerful top tier air to ground munitions are, or how fast every top tier tank that isn’t something with a bugged damage model dies to any other top tier tank. Death is cheap once you get past the ww2 BRs
Top tier spaa in stock configuration with no upgrades at all if you can’t deal top tier stock spaa then the player is bad in his/her jet/helicopter and not the spaa.
I mean it’s still gonna have the radar, which is the part that really matters.
And to be clear I do think the free SPAA is necessary since, again, if it wasn’t present and sweeping the skies clear at ridiculous speeds then CAS would be sweeping the ground clear at ridiculous speeds. Top Tier is Just Like That
