Coordinated CAS who have voice chat n stuff must be a freakin nightmare even in SPAAs
Even modern spaa is doomed when there is heli/scout drone landing precise squad markers on them for jdam carrier
Tell me honestly, do you really think it’s normal that in almost every match, by the middle of the game, half of the team is sitting in SPAA? What is the point of that? If the developers want to kill CAS, then fine — but to this extent, I honestly did not expect it. This feels excessive and irrational. Why do they keep promoting aircraft and helicopters everywhere — in trailers, ads, and marketing — if in reality they are being systematically shut down in actual gameplay? What is the logic here? What’s the point of pushing aviation so hard if the end goal is to make it unplayable?

At lower BRs CAS doesn’t even need to coordinate, you just wait until the tracer is going towards a different plane and drop a few rounds into its turret.

I think the biggest issue with free SPAA is the severe imbalance in strength across different nations. For example, the S1 is clearly superior to other free SPAA units. Additionally, all free vehicles come in their default configurations without any advanced weaponry, which feels unfair for those that require research to unlock their higher-tier weapons. That being said, the decision to provide free AA vehicles itself is a positive move.

Ive lost count how many battles ive lost the last week because half of my team is suddenly sitting at spawn doing F all.
That and NOT playing Russia at 10,3-10,7 :P

CAS absolutely needs to coordinate. Most of the time when I intentionally grab an SPAA’s attention and a friendly plane is up, they will destroy the braindead SPAA player.
There are however times when the friendly CAS is completely oblivious, and just continues tryna strafe a Tiger 1.
Removing backups for SPAA would be a start.

The free are stock - as in NOT AS GOOD as researched and upgraded spaa.
How is that “unfair”?

No. First, they have to at least provide the tanks with proper ammunition and at least a repair kit.
If you want all that maybe you should research the vehicle instead of ignoring the SPAA line?

Doesn’t matter for most SAM systems, they get the best missile from the get go.
If it’s not earned and unlocked, why?
Because the ‘free tank’ that you get as your second spawn is so ineffective that there’s no point in taking it at all. Gaijin wanted to fix the one-spawner problem, but instead gave a stock tank that is basically just meat for the enemy team. That’s why it’s obvious that people will choose SPAA and just sit in spawn picking their noses, waiting to shoot down some AFK plane.
