Fox is still overpowered

Anything from 80’s or newer

And afaik only US had them

also wheeled vehicles have horrible traction offroad, and are bouncy asf.

years ago when there was the problem of R3, which was nothing compared to how toxic the fox is in the game given the devastating impact of the hits, which is ridiculous, the devs intervened promptly with numerous nerfs, here the situation seems to have been left deliberately free. nothing was done to balance it except limiting the rotation of the turret, which is a technical aspect not a nerf related to the game itself.

yep only a us thing

The ammo in the Aubl which I compared it to, is sitting right next to the gunner / commander… right under the breech. Your point?

They already have higher pen then they should from 1.0 - 7.7
The Dshk has what 8-10mm less pen?

But either or hardly does damage to the fox, you may get a single crew member while is scurries off.

Italy suffers or smthn, the fox is just a difficult vehicle to deal with, it has enough pen to where it is playable at basically any br and so gaijin are probably just struggling to find a good solution other than put the unstabilised light tank up with the stabilised ones.

My first example, the btr-80 vs the fox, the fox was far far closer to the xm800 on flat terrain, and fairly close on rough terrain.
Meanwhile, the btr, was all over the place. And the worst by far.

Right. The funny thing is, the R3 wasn’t nearly as broken as the Fox.

pls stay on topic

this is about the fox, not the btr-80

I’m sure the pen values are correct, considering how long they’ve both been in the game for, and that is user error on your part, the fox is incredibly loud, and has basically no armour, it isn’t that survivable.

umm no the r3 definitely was, it’s br has nearly doubled since it was added lmao, 3.7 to 6.0 is insane

It all started because of how the event challenges were structured. There was a challenge that required capturing 20 bases, so many players (all the palyers, not the italian main) used the R3 to take the base and then blow themselves up. This tactic was later exaggerated, as always, by German and USA mains (the same ones who insisted on capturing points with a heavy tank…), which led to the R3 being nerfed.

Now, I admit that 3.7 was indeed too low as a BR, but I’m talking about 5 years ago, when the game mechanics were different. Back then, to kill a Sherman or a panter from the side, you had to get very close, almost melee range, and unload most of your rounds, which also required some skill. The nerfs were: reduction of the dispersion cone of the 20mm, increased jamming probability for prolonged fire, reduced penetration power of the 20mm, removal of stabilization above 25 km/h, and the BR was progressively increased from 3.7 to 6.

Nerfs to the Fox: none. The turret rotation speed reduction was a technical adjustment, not a balance nerf.

Now, with the Fox, I’ve blown up T tanks and similar with a single shot… as if it were a DM33, while staying at a safe distance. Come on, that’s just absurd. Plus, it’s incredibly resistant, another ridiculous thing.

Traction overall in this game is very poor. It’s just worse in wheeled vehicles because of understeer

yh it’s kind of hilarious having a “realistic” tank game where tanks can’t actually handle the terrain they were designed to handle lol.

no the traverse change was a nerf, as it reduced it’s capabilities, and if we are going for historical accuracy which i thought was the selling point of the game then the fox is fine how it is. Please stop complaining lol.

This isn’t fox related

Once again, topic went heavily off-topic, despite being locked for around 2 whole months before being reopened. Unless something is being changed by other higher staff, it will remain locked.
