I use the fox currently at that BR fine ngl lol. A Radar would be great because I can see where enemy tanks are through treelines etc even without thermal optics.
Like, honestly I think its a superior scout then either the Viper or VFM 5.

Will never get the radar, would be considered too OP I reckon, or it would never work.
Peak Gaijin.
Warrior exist in game for years with RARDEN. Nothing.
Fox gets added. Within a year Gaijin is nuking APDS performance again.
Warrior will still be 8.3 btw
No no. Clearly OP as it has the same gun as the Fox. Post-nerf will clearly be 9.0 as its worse than the BMP at 8.7
By how they worded it, it seems they only care about the RARDEN on the Fox and not the Warrior. That shows you how they view the Warrior, by being forgotten by the devs themselves for being so bad.
Comical.
How about all <75mm APDS gets the performance of British APDS so everyone can experience the torture.
Torture? The only APDS that was un-reliable for me VBC (PT2) out of pretty much every nation.
The best APDS is hands down the OF-40, it seems to act more like APFSDS for some reason.
But even with the bad APDS on the VBC (80mm pen) I was killing Russian tanks like it was going out of style, at 600-800 meters, and on really really bad angles.
I mean, the whole thing I find difficult with your argument is you go back to your K/D, and the fact the Fox has a much higher flat pen at point blank. Point 2 is a bit trickier to address considering Gaijin’s formula has/has not pulled the values out of thin air essentially, but Point 1, your K/D. I could turn up today and say “I have a 1.9 K/D in the FV4005 and I found it easy to do so” but my experience might be very different.
In any case, the post today iirc made the point that the Fox could probably still go up based off of “efficiency” (a fancy way of saying “player statistics”), which I fundamentally disagree with. Yes, the Fox is a very very mobile and small platform, and yes it has a gun with high flat pen. But mindlessly uptiering it over and over isn’t going to do much. I mean, there are people who can make it work effectively at 11.7 against top tier MBTs. So using statistic based Balancing is a non-starter.
Objectively, the Fox is a fast, mobile wheeled vehicle, with a high flat pen gun. However, the gun has a low rate of fire. It is not stabilised. It has a horrible dropoff in Pen at range. It can be extremely noisy. It is(should be) vulnerable to .50 cal and above. It doesn’t have NVD or TVD of any description. It could maybe go up to 8.0, but anything above that and then you start putting up against tanks that are objectively better. With lots of TVD, Stabilisers, higher performance rounds.
You’re (at 8.0) one step below the Warrior, which while bigger and probably less mobile, is less noisy, gets more ammo, gets a scout drone, gets a MILAN 2, gets Gen 2 Thermals, gets better protection, and arguably better crew positioning (better spread out). And while you could argue whether the Fox is or is not better than the Warrior, I think the vast majority of people would take a Warrior at 8.3 over a Fox at 8.0.
Or they’re just fixated on “nerfing” the Fox to the detriment of all else.
Idk, I’d hope they haven’t forgotten the Warrior.
I swear to god, it’s bad enough now on 120mm APDS randomly shattering on a whole assortment of plates, from Tiger 2H Turret faces to Leopard 1 UFPs. I could do without APDS getting worse
Also, while we’re on the Topic of CVR(?)s and RARDEN… Scimitar when )))
I really should’ve saved the replay. I was on the hill on parallel 38 in either the comet or challenger. There was this big barn-headed KV-2 looking tank on the enemy team distracted and looking elsewhere with its rear hatch ripe for the taking. Maybe it was KV-220? It looks similar enough.
I roll a bit forward to get enough depression and take a shot somewhere here, kinda like this:
Shell shattered.
Is vulnerable to HMG fire at close range, beyond ~300m it becomes very tanky.
It’s just that the majority of people who spray HMGs at everything expect the reaction to be “instant death”. They’re used to shredding things like the AML-90 and open topped tank destroyers/SPAA with barely enough armor to stop 7.62mm AP ammo.
you talk on this whole thread about how good you are i fail to see how you can have a problem with the fox…
I do wonder if we will get a Daimler fox event/premium some day.
Sorry chaps, I should use the fox more so you guys can feel it, been too set into using the Olifant mk2/Vijayanta recently.
Ugh, I’m horrified. Just knowing the horrible job they did with the APCR and APDS ammunition of the 20mm cannon of the Marder, Wiesel, etc., I don’t expect this to turn out well with the 30mm cannon. At least if they used a correct penetration calculator I would be a bit more relaxed, since at least the penetration would be as close to reality as possible, but knowing that this calculator works terribly with small bullets, this points to another disaster in the game.
I could start using it as I have it unlocked but I just don’t enjoy playing Britain. It’s been a 90% insufferable experience, so far.
where did gaijin say they are gona nerf it? i cant find it
This change involves recalculating the parameters of the APDS rounds fired by the 30 mm L21A1 cannon (and all vehicles using the 30x170 APDS-T shell as well) and consisted of the reduction of its armor penetration against both angled and flat armor
do we know the dimensions of the round?
