FOX-3: Active Radar Homing Missiles

oh yes, a vast majority of the A version in game is VERY late. IIRC the in game version even has a radar it never used because it was introduced after the decommission of the A version.

absolutely!

Something i didn’t know :) nice ^^

They had an opportunity to add the early one with F16’s and Mig29’s with it’s 9L(i) missiles and without HMD, instead they had Sweden wait an entire year without a top tier jet and I guess they wanted to add something relevant to the meta of that update. My guess is they’re saving Swedish 39C for Iris-T and radar upgrade, and then the 39E when they add Rank 9 stuff. (I think it’ll be very potent with 200° radar and 7 Meteor loadout)

Dont forget the Gripen NG.

Knowing Gaijin they will introduce demonstration Gripen in order to increase the grind.

Well, the radar is PS-05 for both 39A and 39C, the 39C however received multiple upgrades for it. 39A was decommissioned/retired in 2012.

There is like zero documentation available on the PS-05 outside advertisements due to it being classified. Gaijin is currently basing the PS-05/A off the Blue Vixen radar that it was based off, Gunjob made that happen with an internal report, so it’s basically a complete copy off some document for a blue-vixen radar. 39C radar is likely underperforming right now, but as I said before:

Interesting, have you got a link to that?

Well… Kinda confirmed. But better evidence than I think we had before :D

In A2A I dont think it would be a huge amount of difference (though in the absence of docs we’ll never know for sure)

but I think the bulk of the modifications to the Blue Vixen made for the Gripen was to add more A2G modes. Which could be a big buff for it in a CAS role.

It’s set to slower speeds to lower the wear on the autoloader, and with it the need of maintenance.

However being able to set it slower does not make it slower. Generally the fastest possible time is the capability in ideal conditions, ignoring any reliability, wear or cost that might be issues in reality.
For the Type 10 the fastest recorded speeds put it at a little under 3s in continuous fire, and 1.2s for a readied round already cycled in after the last shot.

Nobody is arguing it can’t be this slow, but it is intentionally worse than it could be, while other vehicles are closer, or even farther, from their ideal condition reload. It is a balancing factor and intentionally not the real value for balnce, Gaijin has stated this before.

Running it through Google Translate it appears to confirm the opposite: that Italy didn’t use the SuperTEMP:

The differences between the aircraft came with the entry into service of night vision goggles (NVG) in the RAF and the “Capability Sustain Programme” which led the British F.3 to adopt the AIM-120 medium/long range missile AMRAAM instead of the more limited short/medium range Sky Flash SuperTEMP and TEMP (the latter version in service in Italy).

To me that says the TEMP was in service with Italy.

Oh, interesting. Never mind then. I never did that. Just remember seeing it in that thread.

I will remind members to be Civilized in here… Warnings maybe necessary if it continues… and not just talking to the above, it goes for everyone!

Discussions can be heated for sure, and for “some people” that cannot win an argument with words, will always resort to insults…

And it will not be tolerated… especially for the way someone talks… English may not be the first language for a Great many here… and even such translation apps like that of “google translate” is accepted here…

This is the International Forum… and so, we have members from all over the world here, and all members will be treated with the upmost respect…

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, Right or Wrong… and if you think someone is wrong, then you show them the upmost respect when debating them here on our Forum… if you have personal dispute with someone, then take it to PM as not to disrupt our Forum…

The guy we were responding to was just copy pasting an argument over and over again. You can’t really argue with that.

Then you can just ignore people, and there are also options in your user profile to ignore / block members… or as I mentioned take disputes to PM and sort them out there

Honestly I didn’t know there were any of those options on here aside from ignoring them.

Under >Preferences >Users

You will find options to block / ignore

This guy is the top G!

Yea I figured that out after a few messages from him
It was the main reason why I told dude to find it by himself if he is actually interested

You’re the one claiming that bug reports are not going to fix anything because of “reasons”,…

I asked you to back it up, and you won’t do that, therefore your earlier posts should simply be hidden for badmouthing about Gaijin company.

And this one should be about badmouthing me,…

Someone claiming shit on forum : you can see that EVERY DAY on various platforms

If you can’t back up accusations, then keep them out of the forum.

To be fair he’s decently active in bug reporting himself, specifically for Japan. Many reports here do not go through for lack of sources, as the Japanese tend to be rather secretive.

So when you do add all publicly available sources and still get hit by “provide more sources” it is essentially telling us to basically leak classified information or just accept inaccuracies.
Sometimes there is also issues such as certain gaps in Type 10 armor present in game that can be disproven with our given source material, but are denied because we lack sufficiently detailed description on how they would be set up correctly. This once again leads to a very unpleasant feel of helplessness when it comes to certain issues in the game.

So while simply bug reporting can help and should always be the first option, especially with modern and often classified technology we simply cannot always do that. There is no known right option, just assumptions that strive to be as close to the source material, while not being disproven by it.

Our only real hope is to make these issues and our displeasure known to get Gaijin to revisit certain aspects individually, using a more complete library of source material collected by the community here to create a more accurate assumption then they did upon release.
So reading such issues being dismissed by a fellow player can be fairly insulting.

Well to be clear, i’m not dismissing anything.

I was asking to see such behaviors past or current, and i didn’t asked them all, a single one would have been enough.

As said before:

If we come to consideration that his post was a vain try to feedback an eventual problem, the reaction would have been more constructive.

And yet, still in order to make his post becoming a Feedback post, instead of the current claim post with no clue, having an exemple would have helped both me, and eventually Staff, in order to ensure better communication in within Bug-reports thread made on platform, and eventually up to here on forum, when we see around some " #Fixed n°xxx " devblog post being all but intuitive.

I had several objectives, from obtainning such exemple,… and instead, we ended up in a bullshitery arguement on my own sanity → which is Out of Forum Rules.

I also happenned to do Bug-reporting in the past, mostly around some French Air Vehicules, and such behaviors weren’t present back in the days.
