Why did Gaijin never implement the forward air spawns for strike aircraft in rank VI+ air rb?
Because stuff like Su-7s and Etendards will abuse it to climb to space.
It also opens up zombers to just spawn their premium Tornado and rush bases unopposed. And that ends up just adding a bunch of deadweight to your team.
Then instead perhaps would it make sense to assign airspawn role to specific aircraft rather than across the rank? Also the deadweight problem is already an issue. If anything this allows strike aircraft to expend air to ground ordnance and then engage air targets.
They removed it after some high tier ones were able to kill planes that had shortly taken off.
I agree. Stuff like the A-10s/Su-25s should have them, but an A-5C shouldn’t.
Right, but that was years ago. And those aircraft were under-BR’d anyways, due to the egregious BR compression that used to exist compared to now
as a matter of fact, Gaijin removed it due to some strike aircraft being so fast they would simply be able to reach better positions when used in a fighter role, leaving them with a massive advantage
And it makes sense for those aircraft to not have air spawn, but the Su-25 and A-10s (the higher BR models) don’t really have that advantage
I’m currently spading the SU-25 BM and it’s so bad.
