Formal Letter to the War Thunder Development Team

True.

Extra text for character limit.

J10C Is borderline ass RN, so they have every right to complain, nevermind gripen E being a lower BR despite being better than It

Producer is irrelevant.

What matters is which armies use it. China’s armies do NOT use te VT-4.

Try again.

Who gives a crap what you “accept” you hypocrite. You don’t run the game or make the rules.

No need to result to name calling.

We’re all adults (hopefully) here. We can chat maturely.

Given the VT4 is produced for export use by Norinco, I’d argue it should be an exception to the rule and be in the chinese tree. Although China doesn’t explicitly use it, I feel it’d be a nice compromise.

Since you havent been in the game for too long - where would an exported vehicle like the M1 Abrams, F16 Fighting Falcon and AH64E Guardian go to? All of these are American.

my knowledge on most modern vehicles is limited but these should go to nations that exist (and operate the vehicle) in warthunder (IE Great Britain, Japan, Italy, etc) or the country of manufacture for nations that currently lack a tree.

IE China in the VT4’s case since Thailand doesn’t have its own tech tree. Thus allows the VT4 to exist with the least amount of controversy.

The problem with such an approach would just leave some trees completely barren which obviously would need some compromise to keep ‘as-is’.

Tldr; it’s a bit more complex than ‘shove it in x or y nation’

Would it surprise you that all the vehicles that i mentioned belong to an Island nation (Taiwan) as a defence against mainland China. And that these vehicles can be found in this very hostile nations tec tree.

It is more complex than putting it in x or y. Yes exactly. It becomes weird tho when one thing is allowed and the other forbidden because one party has a severe self esteem issue. Its called Hypocrisy.

Its either one or the other. Once we start to nitpick exactly this happens. Hair splitting about the details

Yes, I get that the relationship between China and Taiwan are - put bluntly - not good at all.

A secondary compromise would make a ‘minor nations tech tree’ but that’d not only be a ton of work, that’d also complicate a lot of things but it’s something.

“Analysed” is not the same as accepted and actioned.

Get over it.

Please chill.

He has a point: Gaijin has done a very poor job of implementing changes over the recent years. A concerted multi-community effort to enact change may be what we need to change the game for the better.

I don’t know why, Gaijin pay so much on market promotion in China mainland, but everytime the most famous mainland vehicle in every major update is such a shi… tho, If I invite friends grind China with Me that I gonna become a devil.

You use the Class 3 (P) as your point but this was added before South Africa was a GBR Subtree. Like Israel was part of the US before getting their own tree, and you can still get the Israeli vehicles on the marketplace. They don’t move event marketplace vehicles.

Not a promise, and they didn’t say “Chinese-made” they said “Chinese”. Once Thailand used the VT-4 in service, their VT-4s became Thai first and Chinese second. Its a Thai vehicle, so it fits.

If the poster did not project so much entitlement I might have been able to use a more subtle approach. But after reading this person’s posts I decided a more blunt approach was required.

You may not agree, but that’s OK.

This has no bearing on the game.

If Thailand is a sub-tree of Japan TT, and Thailand operates the VT4, then in game Japan should get access to the VT-4. Just like currently China has access to a lot of US post-ww2 vehicles even though the US would never export those vehicles to China.

Expecting one side to be implemented but not the other is where the term hypocrisy comes into play. A number of posters in this thread fall under that category because they are trying to bring politics into the decision-making and as Gaijin has made clear, that is not how things are done in WT.

Yet it’s a China manufactured tank. For export use. Why China doesn’t operate the VT4, I don’t know.

I’m trying to avoid politics. This thread got pruned pretty hard (not a complaint, simply pointing it out) sometime in the last several hours because of that and a few other things.

Although resorting to name calling isn’t going to do much except annoy or even anger people.

i could tell this thread was started by a chinese person just by the title
