This bug report was made on the ZTL-11 Light tank for China, specifically its abysmal reverse speed. I’ve already read it and understand there were problems with the Chinese consultant who’d been ousted just over 2 years ago, same time the issue had been reported. It was made into a duplicate but no previous report was linked so I’m curious if this issue has been swept under the rug or devs have been working for 2 years to find a solution to the problem.

what happened with the Chinese consultant? i remember hearing things about them refusing to use accurate information but didn’t really play at the time

As you said he was passing on incorrect information, but long story short he was not doing his job as a data collector. Chinese players were outraged by his incompetence and voted for his removal with the majority wanting him gone and Gaijin taking care of the rest.

im guessing he was making them worse as 100000% Chinese players wouldn’t say anything if they were getting overperforming stuff

The consultant’s goal was to make Chinese vehicles intentionally underperform, withhold information, and get players in trouble who went against his word, very scummy person. The Vehicles were already terrible to start with, it has nothing to do with overperformance otherwise it’s Gaijins choice whether said tanks are performing realistically or need to be artificially tweaked to fit into the gameplay of War Thunder, I wouldn’t go to single out Chinese players for not reporting overperformance, that’s something no one would do if it’s a tech tree they enjoy but this is not the case. If you would like more context into his actions the information is available for your viewing.

oh no i enjoy a lot of vehicles in the British tree like the spitfire LF MK9 and sea meteor because they are unfair as hell and I don’t have any reason to hide that. I’ve just had bad experiences with Chinese players in games, as have a lot of people going off of their reputation.

its really scummy that a rep for a major customer to a company was doing all they could to screw over that demographics own faction in a game, although it does feel like that’s still a thing with bug/accuracy reports for the English speaking community, lots of us including myself have made reports about inaccuracies and they get swiftly shut down despite having plenty of evidence

Yes lots of cheaters use names that happen to be Chinese and sadly it stains the reputation of Chinese players but it is up to Gaijin to punish these shameful cheaters. Due to ignorance your reports will not be accepted even with solid proof but nevertheless I commend you and along with others who have made attempts to bring balance and fairness to this game.
