Lets not pretend Air Simulator games out there aren’t extremely niche products.
Them not putting effort in is honestly just an easy excuse for lack of interest among people.
GRB has had the same mode for a very long time now, but people still continue to play it en masse even with all of it’s numerous problems.
ASB should be compared to GSB, not many people play GSB either, and regardless, the ratio is like 10 Russian players to 1 nato players, the problem spreads to simulator battles in general.
Maybe not ground, but air, it kind of is, I’m not saying gaijin is bad, but they don’t pay attention to sim battles in general, and air sim gets the worse end according to a lot of people including me.
Regarding this I have actually been asked to update the main post to make the fixed reports clearer as apparently the devs that work on the HUD’s and MFD’s have been using it as a sort of checklist.
Simulator failed because it’s a mode with only 10% more complexity than ARB and only adds poorly conceited handicaps that feel contrite and unconsidered in any broader development.
There is no reason to play ASB barring grinding base bomb grinding. Who creates ASB? Gaijin. The mode simply does not add any level of engaging features or mechanics to the game any more.
The mouse joystick controls are awkward to set up, trim is difficult to manage because of awkward controls. To say that people aren’t interested in simulations is just a projection of your personal opinion that has no basis in fact nor does it have any merit.
My dude there are plenty of Air Simulation games out there and their player population is extremely small.
You can cope with that fact however you like though.
