Following the Roadmap: Voting to Test our Proposed APHE Shell Changes

What gaijin should do at first is change the damage of the APHE and all the other bullets directly, without voting or nonsense like that, doing a test mode for a few days and then deciding how to balance them realistically but at his own discretion. once balanced.
A simple thing would be to give the ammunition some damage cones, with the APHE with a larger cone but without reaching as far into the tank, the Full APn with a little less cone but with fragments reaching further into the vehicle, APCR and APDS with cones practically the same as the APHE and Full AP, the HEAT and HEAT-FS with a somewhat smaller cone than the others, but depending on the remaining penetration after drilling (if it has 400mm penetration and drills 300mm it would have a cone equal to the others bullets, if with 400mm it pierces 350mm it would have a small cone). The HESH should have two types of damage, one type would be penetration damage, like the one it has in the game, if a HESH with 200mm penetration hits a plate of 150 mm does damage, and then it should have damage like an HE, for example when you fire a HESH on the side of a BMP and hit it in the fender, the BMP does not receive damage, when in reality it should be destroyed, since A HESH is like an HE but projecting the explosion forward, so very light vehicles could not resist an impact on the fenders or wheels.

Nobody knows if they can do nothing same time, it’s been so much time i waited for a buff of french plane or minor tree that i finished it so not even sure it’s about to Come 1 day

Everything is clear with the distribution of the fragmentation field. But how is the speed and lethality of fragments calculated? After all, it directly depends on the mass of explosives in the projectile. For HE shells with a large filling of explosives, the speed of fragments can reach 1500-2000 m / s, and for shells with a small filling of explosives (namely, APHE) it is much less - about hundreds of meters per second. The simplest option is that all the energy of the explosive explosion is converted into the kinetic energy of fragments of the same mass. For a 90mm M82 projectile, the filling factor is approximately 0.01. That is, the fragment speed will be approximately 250 m/s.

What am I getting at? The following is happening now. After penetrating the armor, the projectile flies at a certain speed (the specific value is not important). Then it suddenly stops at the moment of explosion and a STILL spherical cloud of fragments is formed. It looks like this.

As it should be. If the speed of the fragments is less than the residual velocity of the projectile after penetrating the armor, then the cloud of fragments should move in the direction of the projectile, forming a cone of fragments.

If the fragment speed is much greater than the projectile speed, then the current implementation with the projectile stop is more/less satisfactory.

So, maybe instead of distributing the fragment field it would be better to work on the projectile speed after penetrating the armor and the fragment field speed? In my opinion, this is a much more important thing in terms of realism and credibility than the distribution of fragments.

You voted “yes” because it comes with your personal interest, and shiting on the most popural awnser is waaay more selfish. It’s snake biting himself

I found a Guy sharing my ideas, it’s been 752 messages, i felt lonely

We have proof in the form of updates, and patch notes they are capable of multiple things at the same time.

So we do know they can, because they repeatedly show us they can by pumping out constant content updates, fixes and changes to the game.

And you have been so busy waiting you haven’t noticed the fact they did get buffs?

Like a very noticable change is the Magic 2 buffs.

Mirage and mirage 2000 is the tree that hides the forest
To get the 2000 it’s an horror. You are not serious if you Say me that they buffed france because magic are better

I’ll take an example : vg33c1 (2.7)
It’s less armed than a p36 and comes with AT least 36mins of fuel making it a super whale, in dogfight it’s barely as good as other and turns like bf109 without having it’s power, the funniest IS that the improved version on tt (which is historically wrong coz d520 came before) is even worse than VG despite being AT a higher br.
And i dont mention ms series and the interceptor being slower than a Spitfire despite having 2 engines. I dont also mention the vautour that got its airspawn deleted, or the fact it’s 9.0 without guns (2b) without flares and subsonic while soviet has supersonic with flares AT 9.3

And finally, no, Magic isnt a noticable buff except for the said planes since it affect planes which are at least rank 7

Looks like “no” will win.

Cant wait for APHE to be a truly god-like round. The usual insane damage but now with the solid shot line of damage too. Legit zero reason to use anything other than APHE if you have the option.

Wonder how many APHE-using tanks will be moved up in br after the changes.

I feel like solid shots are more likely to be moved down, as relatively speaking the APHE users will keep the same performance vs each other

I mentioned an extremely easy to notice change, but across the tech tree there have been fixes, buffs, and nerfs.

The french tech tree is not alone in a lot of fixes, buffs, and nerfs are waiting in the endles line of things waiting to be buffed, nerfed or fixed.

Because there is a forrest of fixes even if you yourself choose to ignore it.

Btw it’s easy to see the contradiction, for the aphe shell it’s a fix to make it work as it does but for the magic when devs make them work as they did it’s a buff and no neither France nor minor nation got significant buff. That’s why nobody plays them

Also, having used both pre-buff and post buff Magic 2. It is quite the improvement in range and maneuverability (pull of the rails)

And the best part is the comperatively low BR for Magic 2 carriers compared to other IRCCM carriers.

The range buff was small and way before turn “buff” and if im right it was even before
R530 range buff and yes it has irccm but it’s less OP than a10 and su25 with 30g all aspect that could face 9.0, and yes Magic are excellent missles
Btw you’re talking about Magic 2 but this does affect Magic 1 too, and this has neither all aspect nor irccm

A fix can be both.

I mentioned “fix” as a different listing to fix bugs like the turret ring damage model of the AMX 30 Super being way below where the visual model indicating it to be.

The Magic 2 change is also a fix in putting it more in line with what its likely to be IRL.

You know english and the ability of 2 things to be true at once. Like Gaijin being able to do more than 2 things at once

Doing 2 things AT once, yes they can, but we aint know if they will, neither what they’ll do with this if it doesnt Come from road map, i Can Say they’ll put a doppler to 3E, or add another copy or add a New plane/tank or do nthg to one of the minor trees

Iirc it got a “pull of the rails buff” And speed retention buff in the same patch.

Yes im talking about Magic 2.

And yes Magic 1 also got improvements in the same or similar timeframe to the Magic 2. It was quite a nice change when playing the Jaguar A.

Magic 2 has the same post lock seeker as the R-73 and better pre-lock seeker. So yeah i would not want it facing 9.0, the same way they just decompressed the game to avoid 9.0 having to face all aspects.

I mean keep ignoring the history of every previous patch i guess

Even before the br changes Magic2 couldnt face 9.0, the first plane to get it was f1 in 11.3, and Magic 1 surfers the same problem as r60, u Can dodge it by hard turn since the seeker wont be able to see the heat

Yes im ignoring patch coz i was wrong for 1 very updtate where 1 very buff got out
Btw you still havent talk about the states of the props in the tree, ensure me you havent grinded with premium ?

*you can drain the missile of energy. If it has energy it will hit if it got a reasonable launch profile

The buffs to the Magic 2 made that a less likely prospect. Tho idk if it applied that much to the Magic 1.
