*you can drain the missile of energy. If it has energy it will hit if it got a reasonable launch profile
The buffs to the Magic 2 made that a less likely prospect. Tho idk if it applied that much to the Magic 1.

This is thing that applied before the update for sure, i had already done it against r60 and ppl did it to my Magic. I havent tried magic1 since the update i focused on other vehicles but i’d be suprised if this trick is now useless, for the loss of energy it’s not a Big problem since the carrier are at least transsonic and these 9.0 are slow enough to get enough close
I dont play props that much, but no i did not use a premium plane to grind air france.
VG 33 C1 being one of my favorite aircraft
Same for the rank 1-3 but it’s a very mid plane tbh, it’s more my prefereted coz of being the only one usuable with the Fake p36. Best french planes in the tt arent from France
Ok. So you will pretend they are only capable of doing 1 thing while ignoring their history of patch notes that prove otherwise. Got it.
Knowing Gaijin they will use the laziest and most unrealistic way to implement it.
Why don’t they just use realShatter, they already have that system. Oh, maybe it’s because realShatter should in fact be called fantasyShatter 😂
No i said u were a bit harsh just because i was wrong for the very patch of range buff for Magic, and i even said they capable of doing several things AT the same times
Gaijin already implemented APHE in a “lazy” and “unrealistic” way.
I mean F-6F, F4U-7 and AD-4 all very nice aircraft. It is nice we get the best CAS Corsair.
I guess i did play the MB 152 C1 quite a bit.
That would be the only premium i played.
Edit: and yeah since you know they can do both at the same time, idk why any potential issue in some other tech tree would impact this proposal.
I’m confident they can do it again :)

So you Say im right, f6/f4 and ad are all us planes, spit/seaf are also very good but still not french, mb is a bomber so i havent rly played it, i used b26 which was caster in memory, and it’s still not french
Edit : i f up with the mb bomber, and 152 is in tt with 120 rounds of 20mm, it’s an interceptor or a fighter dont remember but being good at none of these i bet
Please stop with this offtopic.
Since we don’t have shell fragments bouncing around the tank implemented into the game, the APHE sphere of death is an acceptable appromixation.
It over estimates the lethality of APHE shells, but making it into a cone will underestimate it instead.
That sounds nice.
You got my Vote.
You think? How?
I think one issue are ricochets.
We still have RNG ricochets and when AP rounds strike angled armor they just get absorbed, when they should ricochet instead. (They only do so at angles above 55° and then it’s all based on chance)
That’s like the deal with sloped armor. They deflect rounds. So when it doesn’t pen it gets deflected.
So like that example with the Tiger:
An AP round should ricochet from the side armor but in-game this happends:
It impacts the side armor but despite having almost no penetration power left, the shell gets absorbed by the armor instead of bouncing off.
It should break appart after the intial penetration, then get deflected from the side armor and hit the ammunition and potentially the crew.
Again, in no world would the Tiger survive a penetration of the front, without any harm to the crew or the ammuniton.
in short, it’s better to be more op than less op, gotcha.
If we go down the road of “i would want this instead of this” we won’t get anywhere. Any improvement is worthy enough.
I would want every shell to act realistic if we go down to the road of having shells acting realistic rather than cherry picking which shells to act realistic and which ones not to.
By this logic every shell should have the sphere of death to represent fragments bouncing around
So you think they should include ricochet and bouncing in the APHE rework?
Seems reasonable since its been asked for quite some time in regards to solid shot shells.
Tho imo id rather them implement this, and then go on to implement better post pen/perf modeling in regards to shrapnel behavior and generation.
1 step at the time.
Yes, I agree.
Of course, for balance reasons, solid shot/APCR should have less fragments and damage per fragment.
Edit: and the “head” of the shell going along the initial direction be more massive and damaging compared to APHE.
There is no option in the poll for “no rework.” They say they’re reworking APHE regardless, so all the arguments about dev time and BR changes people have made here are meaningless.
Regardless of the vote, they say, they ARE reworking APHE, and that will result in a pretty big buff. The vote was whether we agreed with their idea for a counter-nerf so that the rework doesn’t lead to APHE becoming even more powerful relative to reality and other shells.
By the majority voting NO, the playerbase has given them the mandate not only to leave APHE as the best round after the rework but make it even more destructive than it is now in terms of post-pen damage, because we rejected the counter-nerf. But the rework is still happening, insofar as there was no vote option to say NO to it.
