Following the Roadmap: Voting to Test our Proposed APHE Shell Changes

75 shouldn’t really be picking a fight with them, the only thing I know at it’s br with a 75 is the jumbo where you can eat the tigers shot too
Must admit I haven’t looked at the brs for a while but Sherman 75s I believe stop around 4.3 or earlier for anything but heavies

0 m is unrealistic, your target will be moving and bushed up, it will have a leveled crew instead of 0 vitality and you actually have to reload after missing instead of pixel hunting with four dozen shots in the protection analysis to find the small nook where it goes through and still does some damage. And with all that in mind you didn’t even kill him, you’d need two more penetrating shots after that one.

And will also reduce rewards…

Solid shot is aim at a turret/upper plate and click. It isn’t that different if you simplify it to this point.

You still need to know where you can pen and where the shot will disable important modules.

It’s also a 4.0 tank

True, bushes will make this shit even worse.

Yeah, that’s why i have sent my stats in both jumbo variants… I was refering specifically to jumbo as on the 3.3-4.0 75 sherman variants APCR has absolutely no uses.

Only jumbo will ever fire any APCR from US 75.

They stop at 4.0 with M4A2

you actually have to aim and know what you’ll hit with solid shot, APHE users just click anywhere they can pen with the absolute certainty that the enemy tank will be disabled or killed in the very first shot, this is a very obvious issue when you consider APHE shells don’t perform like this in real life

The Jumbo sits at the exact same BR as the Porsche Tiger and Tiger H1 and uses the US 75. With good results, up until now. Is the Panther a 4.3 tank since the Kwk42 can first be found at that BR?

Yeah a jumbo can tussle with a tiger and get to a point where it can fight it as it can bounce a tigers shot, that’s the upside

Will any of this spill over to Air or Naval?

Could this mean HESH rework as well?

It’s also funny how the main argument against this change is that “4.0s won’t be able to frontally engage 5.7s”…

Almost like THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO and can’t do so unless you purposefully uptier them!?

The only short 75mm that can face Tigers is Jumbo- which is frontally completely invulnerable to Tiger’s gun except for a weakspot 5cm in diameter.

And that’s because Jumbo’s balancing will always be awkward because the thing has more armor than the majority of WW2 tanks while having an anemic gun.

The bottom line is that the APHE change is not that big of a deal. But people will vote, yes. They’ll regret it later

I’d rather solid shells were improved…

Also, i don’t really want to statshame, but i have just looked through your stats and you seem to barely even play vehicles below Rank 5. Why even bother taking part in discussion that doesn’t affect you nearly at all and you clearly know not a lot about

We position ourselves all the effing time, but then you cry about it. You all cry about things like the M18 flanking you and then in the next post you cry about cupolas. Make up your mind and choose an effing weakness. Sorry, you can’t roleplay Michael Wittman.

Funny thing is they can from close range

Arguably all big HE rounds.

I play Sweden

Even tanks at that BR will struggle, especially since the tiger has a damn good gun. Stuff like the -34-85 wont have any really reliable way to kill it, especially as when they do pen it wont do nearly as much.

I’ve played through at least 2 entire tech trees (China and Japan) and have considerable progress in others (Russia, Germany and Britain) so I do know what I’m talking about, I’ve seen the armor of the Tortoise be completely negated by a single cupola shot enough times to know it’s an annoying issue
