You would be surprised with APCR. also APCR just dies to angling kekw
Smoke shells exist, not a direct counter to your sentence but it would help this scenario of not fighting it
To my knowledge the tiger is a rather flat tank
You can not pen the frontplate of the Porsche Tiger with the 75 mm at all, it has 200 mm of armor. You can not pen the frontplate of a Tiger H1 with a 75 mm either if the player playing it has half a functional brain left.
And while a round passing through a crewmember should not be survivable most APCR pens just seem to slightly annoy the crew and turn them yellow.

Okay, and the Mantlet? If the Mantlet isn’t facing you then you aren’t in danger
Well then they should do it at the same time. I want to see proposed BR changes for all these vehicles which are going to lose their biggest weakness before this gets implemented, because shit like that never gets done in anything resembling a timely manner.
G’day,
I’m curious about these supposed shell changes but will this purely only effect ground shells* or effect ALL APHE shells*?
- (even though it does mention just ground in the first paragraph)
*(if they later intend to expand these changes to all modes)
Like will these changes possibly effect the APHE shell of the 3"/50 Mk. 22 cannons found on Mk. 27, Mk. 33 & Mk. 34 naval mounts.
If that’s so then OOF to those ships effect shells.
My thinking is to ask in case later down the line someone asks “why did they change only ground & not other modes” maybe even blaming double standards or someone else asks the same as me later on.
Again, i feel like i am talking to a wall here.
My answer to that is: So what?
I couldn’t care less about whether it is realistic or not.
APHE is not an easy button, vast majority of tank have it, it puts them on an equal ground. Only tanks without it are screwed, but again you can achieve that without nerfing APHE.
They are a balancing factor a=for a metric tone of tanks and should happen unless you want to see them facing even less realistic enemies and getting penned everywhere rather than just cupola.
A well needed ones, without them your Porsche tiger wouldn’t be 5.7, but more like 6.3. Tiger 2H wouldn’t be 6.7, but 7.0. Churchill VII wouldn’t be 4.7, but 5.0-5.3
I believe i don’t need to explain how would it affect said vehicles.
Because even though it is realistic, it makes no sense in game.
If it was to be implemented just for sim battles i would be all for it, since there i could actually understand taking historical accuracy over actual gameplay.
Current APHE is better for balance and quality of gameplay and it is something no one can deny.
Aim at cupola and click
True, although volumetric will play hell with that and its not nearly consistent- and APCR postpen is anemic.
Or even higher tbh.
That’s actually a good point, I didn’t read into that. I don’t think it’d make a huge difference to aircraft canons as they’re not that big but ships is another question
Go and try to kill a Tiger 1 with APCR throug hits mantlet and see how that goes. Most of the time your shell will just shatter, if you pen you turn a crewmember yellow.
If you’re worried about volumetric then your best option might be smoke shells and try either flank or get to a position better for yourself. But apcr I managed to hit the shot pretty consistently. I think it’ll just need some getting used to
Especially if the turret is moving- as it is likely to be.
I use APCR on some vehicles from time to time, even though it is complete garbage. It has it’s niche uses, like killing a Tiger E frontally.
You can say many things about me, but lack of skill and experience with american 75s definitely isn’t one of them.
Turret ring also exists
For now the current focus is APHE. Todays news is all the current changes and proposals we have to talk about with you guys at the moment.
