Overpressure still exists, so they would be fine.
I agree.
This whole change is 1 big unnecessary mess that will create more problems than it will solve

Will Gaijin address the performance of solid AP? It’s been 5 years since the Q&A where we were told the performance would finally be fixed. It would be nice to get an update.
That one isnt really any more of an issue than the regular tiger is when it is angled. It is still going to die when penned most of the time, because the things at the br that can pen it either can pen it center mass on its ufp, or cant pen it frontally at all and need to see the angled sideplates at a flatter angle than they appear from the front, either way the shell will basically be center mass when it gets penned.
APHE needs to be nerfed. There is no physical way for APHE to perform as it does. I get everyone wants an easy button but changing APHE from a sphere to a cone would be an improvement.
Cupola shots are a gimmick and should not happen. Those shots are a nerf to heavy tanks. Why are you opposed to proper armor and ammo performance?
It’ll change some brs, maybe add some decompression or even love to lower tiers. It means everyone has to learn actual weakspots. People may even discover that a 75 Sherman can front pen a tiger and panther, taking out both commander and gunner in one shot without even using aphe. Admittedly for a while people who either don’t pay attention to this sort of stuff and people, who by no fault of their own, are just not very fast at adapting to changes like these will have some issues trying to go for old spots and figuring out new weakspots. Some may take a while to figure out there’s this weird round called apcr designed for higher penetration which leads to even easier killing of heavy tanks than aphe reworked. Current meta is aphe or you are at a severe disadvantage, very little skill or challenge is involved besides knowledge of weaknesses
You can cupola the Porsche Tiger with the US 75 mm. With cupola shots doing nothing you would have to completley flank it in a Jumbo (if the player you’re facing is not braindead).
I have probably been less then respectful in my arguments, and I am sorry for that. To be fair though, your side… hasnt been the most respectful either, given that people are apt to just say ‘oh u want op aphe hah cope’ when that is not what I am saying.
You can pen the turret with a 75mm frontally
Removing these weakspots will nerf, not buff heavy tanks. Because of the lack of weakspots they will be moved up, which will make their armor more irrelevent.
you can also shoot it’s tracks or not face it at all, pick your fights
That’s not reliable at all and if you want to kill him that way you better be ready to fire 10 APCR shells. A problem this change would not address, by the way.
Let’s be honest, if more people played the tiger in a way that optimised the advantages and the disadvantages were less prevalent like many other tanks, it’d be at a higher br anyway
Not if other rounds receive their proper performance.
Respect+! o7
I suppose things heat up rather easily when it comes to this stuff- that said, I can understand people sounding mean during a debate; however, some users take it WAY too far and go beyond just sounding mean.
Thats not really an option most of the time, especially with a lot of the new city maps. Shooting its tracks wont do anything but stop it from moving- it can still absolutely shoot you in that time, and barrel shots are inconsistent as all hell.
Yes, thats what we would do. Consideration for the dead is secondary, fighting is primary.
You can pen the entire front plate
A round passing through a man does not seem survivable
Not being able to frontally engage tanks leads to them stomping, which leads to them being uptiered, which leads to the heavy no longer having useful armor. Having vehicles be frontally invulnerable is not an option.
