Following the Roadmap: Voting to Test our Proposed APHE Shell Changes

Why don’t you work on refining the volumetric projectile system?

Paragraphs exist.

No. You showed matches where an individual player did well. This is a statistical argument for the playerbase as a whole. There are next to no matches where the winning team has less awardable actions and especially gametime. And even if there are rare outliers, the trend still holds overwhelmingly true. A lower win multiplier leads to a massive RP income decrease of the playerbase.

There is no room for interpretation here. It is very easy to see the difference in awardable actions and gametime betweeen winning and losing teams and thus the outcome of lowering the win multiplier is immediately self evident.

Guys, you know, this is the topic about APHE, can you leave the economy changes alone?

You can achieve that without nerfing the crap out of APHE

They already are heavy tanks, i personally am a heavy tank main and i have no issues using any of them. No gimicky cupola shots ruin your armor, it is you yourself by overconfidence and exposing your weakspots to enemies.

Here’s the thing: you keep talking about “teams” as if their 15 players were a single hive entity.

They are not.

There are 15 DIFFERENT PLAYERS on each team; even if the winning team has more awardable actions and gametime “as a team”, what matters is each and every single players’ own performance.

Many players on losing teams stay and fight till the end.
Many players on winning teams rage-quit after one death.

So why exactly oppose their own rewards to depend on their own actions, instead of which team they just happened to be on?

Well, agreed. It’s a shame someone felt the absolute need to bring the economy changes that took place more than 2 years ago to… “prove” that “votes shouldn’t matter because everyone who disagrees with me (even if it is the majority of the playerbase) is stupid”, or something.

I replied to deconstruct that “point” they were using to build their argument on, but yeah, I’ll just let it be since it’s not going anywhere anyway.

sorry next time I’ll remember to take my cupola off so no one shoots it

Please see the post here:

Right now we have no plans to make any changes to the shockwave (splash) and pressure damage for APHE shells. This article (and our plans) describe fragmentation part of APHE shells mechanics.

Just hide it behind obstacle? Or don’t expose yourself to a pre aimed enemy?

Taking a shot into weakspot takes more time than shooting a center mass. If you don’t peek a pre aimed enemy, you have an advantage. Also heavies are not only about armor, a big chunk of them also has much more powerful guns than meds and lights of similar BRs. Use them to your advantage.

No. The argument is about the RP Gaijin pays out to all players. Lowering the win multiplier directly lowers that number. That is very obviously a bad thing.
If the total amount of RP given out to the playerbase is reduced the RP income of the average player has to go down accordingly. So you’re hurting the vast majority of the playerbase to maybe help someone out in a rare outlier.

Yeah I’ll hide my huge ass cupola behind an obstacle, you just know there are many maps with obstacles capable of hiding a whole cupola on top of your tank

Good example of why Paragraphs were invented…

For some people, try and make sure to avoid walls of texts, it does make it very difficult for Staff to take feedback way from it

And make sure to stay On Topic… and this Thread will remain Civilized!

Other things can be discussed else ware, otherwise again, it will make the Topic at hand harder for the Staff to take feedback away from it…

Thanks!

Yeah, there are. You can effectively make it harder for enemies to pen your tank. That’s all that matters.

Heavy tanks besides some sad exceptions aren’t underperforming in the game and that’s a fact. Just learn how to use them better

Will shells like Pzgr. or BR-471 still be capable of overpressure?

I just can’t get why so many people, usually those who oppose changes, can’t accept that the preferences and priorities of the majority of the playerbase may not always line up with their own.

The majority of the playerbase voted “Yes” for the reward bonus re-distribution.
The majority of the playerbase is voting “Yes” for the APHE rework…

And each of these times, the “No” supporters who opposed change have brigaded and insulted the “Yes” voters, unable to accept being disagreed on.

Remember the recent vote regarding the potential addition of new crew effects upon being harmed?
I voted “Yes”, but, this time, the majority of the playerbase voted “No”… and what I did when the decission was made was to RESPECT it, not go on a rampage calling “idiot” everyone who had voted “No”. I disagreed with it, but I acknowledged that it was what the majority wanted. It is not difficult to just respect the views of others.

Yes

It’s not just true for heavies either. In T-34 85 1vs1 duels the cupola is a very important weakspot on maps like advance to the rhine and pushing left or right around a hill makes a difference you need to account for as going around the right will expose your cupola earlier. It’s a very fun gameplay aspect to use.

Oh my god, rip IS-7/Object 279 mains.
