My argument is even a 4.0 tank can front pen a tiger, 5.7 tanks have no problem doing so, therefore voting against the change because it will get rid of a clearly broken method of killing a heavy tank is stupid.
Even if tigers angle my firefly will still go through it and my comet will tear it apart.
How do you buff a shell that is historically accurate with Gaijin realism rules? Oh, want you can’t as there are no sources Gaijin will accept. There is no possible buff that can be given to a shell that has been made realistic without making things up. Might as well add paper vehicles too then.
And once again all other shells have been bought down to near-realistic standards it’s only fair that it happens to APHE as well. Otherwise, we might as well accept made-up stuff elsewhere as well. The game advertises itself as being realistic so I’m going to hold up those standards.
And those are? Every other gun has more than enough to pen a Tiger or shells that are not APHE that can pen them because the non-APHE ones were better in the first place.
Or a full-up tier for the Churchill for it but I bought up the Churchill as the Jumbo would be like it, good armour, a weak gun. It is in no way an oppressive tank.
Unless you are talking about the Tiger which in that chase having a nuke for a shell would do it. But that’s not how shells work if you want ground nukes here you go:
APHE irl increases spall in the same direction of the shell as you can see here.
so being able to kill an entire 3 people underneath the cupola is insane, it would only kill the commander and maybe the gunner if you get lucky, no way you should be able to hit it in the cupola and kill the entire turret crew
Yup. Buff them and the problems fix themselves- people coping about high-pen rounds against their heavies will see those high-pen rounds move up, and people will still be able to kill them with cupolas/mailslots/etc
I am perfectly aware it isnt realistic, and to be frank I give zero shits. Its better for balance if rounds do more damage then irl, simply because the requirements to kill a tank ingame are so much higher.
