Following the Roadmap: Updated Economy

in this roadmap gaijin states that they increased the BR of Strike UAV. how is it possible that 8.7 BR Tanks still face them?

I will not lie, these first changes are really positive and excellent for the viability of the economic system of the game. I could see it playing in naval arcade mode.

Now I haven’t to hold my action in battles to avoid the double pain of losing my unit and having an unjustified deficit of SL with insane repairs costs for having been destroyed.

The main issue with the repair cost system as well as the BR system is the incorrect usage of averages.
To this point there has never been a clarification what gaijin means with average: mean, median or mode?

With this not being reviewed, the economy will always be broken.

Completely agree, the header as well as the column with the names should always be visible, otherwise these spreadsheets are barely usable.

Thing is, if you publish google sheet, it doesn’t work like regular one, in editor. There is no option to force top row to stay visible.

Guys… another thing that should be fixed. That thing is really annoying and totally messes even gameplay if you ask me.
I’m F-14A , i’m getting locked into combat with another F-14B. I know he has better plane than me. Yet i manage to somehow get the upper hand, however with no clear solution . We stay locked in combat , engaged into hard maneuvers the entire game, until teammate comes in and swipes him and game ends.
300RP… At that point it’s more convenient to just let it go and get killed, where at least you get the RP, than stay in the fight and fight the opponent 1v1 5 minutes (which means you’re about equal in skills and generally it is a very good fight for both ). That doesn’t picture any combat scenario ever existed… Better getting killed , than actually have a hardcore fight . Not even trying being better than ACTUALLY dogfighting.
It’s like saying to the player to not care to win… Which is very annoying.

As a former power-user of the Italian P-47 D-30 i fully agree with inconsistency here.

The major effect of the lower tier III for the Chinese D-30 and the US D-28 is that they are not constantly full uptiered to 6.0 and are not forced to fly in small 6vs6 / 7vs7 matches together with 4 Ju 288s facing mainly pure US/GB fighter team like the Italian D-30.

I mean i flew the US D-28 24 times and saw not a single Ju288 - and i can’t remember my last match in the Italian D-30 without having 4 Ju 288s in my team. In addition the only occasions i see Chinese D-30s is in full uptiers when flying a 4.0 plane.

So either intended or not - the Italian pilot has compared to the Chinese version 3 times higher repair cost, double crew training cost and fights more or less constantly outnumbered vs superior fighters in full uptiers - and gets rewarded for that with a SL modiifier of 2.4 vs 1.4 of the Chinese one.

Hey there dev team, it already feels better. I believe when you add the next economic changes it will be even better. The premium account overwork sounds good. Not just because i have like 1000 days left of prem time but your roadmap and especially when you really stick to it will drastically change the way of warthunder in a absolut positiv way. I really hope you stick to your written words and we all can enjoy warthunder as long as possible.

Right, so, I’ll start with the positive here - the changes are a step in the right direction, and my profits are slightly higher. The problem - after several days of testing with a few different things - they aren’t nearly enough.

The most recent match (which I screencapped stuff for if you’d like) was a victory taking second place in a leKPz 41, Panther A, and Tiger E1. Shot down a plane, destroyed 5 tanks, 2 assists, 7 scouts, etc that gained 40k silver before repair and ammo, of which yes, this time I got to keep 34k. But - I unlocked 3 modules that ate up 7900, 5300, and 4700 SL - 17,900 in total so just over half what I made. Which ate first glance may have you going ‘what’s the issue?’, well, the issue is that those numbers are with a premium account. Now, those are rank IV tanks - in which other than I have not unlocked all modifications yet so am not moving on - still have unlocked and too be purchased the Panther F, G, and JPz 4-5 which the tanks alone will run me 650k, without crew training or what should be another 650k for qualification. This is before factoring the Almost researched Tiger II (H) and Marder A1, as well as the researched Kugelblitz. And that’s still not counting 3 Rank 7 US jets I’ve unlocked, but not bought, trained crews for, and qualified the crews, which the planes alone is almost 3 million SL. Currently, without spending on frivolous things like containers and all - I have 1.6 million, and at most - I’m really chipping away at the amount I need just for those things - and not all the other planes/tanks/ships I have unlocked cause I can gain RP, but never enough SL even when I actually do well. About the only thing I could do to gain faster is fall back on the tried and true USS Moffett spam - albeit you’ve slightly cut in to my profits there, to try and make up the incredible amount of SL I need not just to catch up in areas, but to actually advance as I research multiple lines, or more, now only a couple to focus the funding. You say you want a diverse set of tanks/planes/etc in battle - I want to play a diverse set. But how am I supposed to play a diverse set when even if I’m getting the most kills in a match, while capping points and whatever else in terms of objectives depending on what vehicle type I’m playing - I have to go play premium vehicles dozens of matches in a row to actually make enough money still to get vehicles cause upgrades to vehicles are eating up money almost as fast as I can make it, and the cost of obtaining a vehicle, training a crew, and qualifying them is still pretty high where maybe averaging 10k a match overall after upgrades/repair/ammo/bad matches/etc is still about 200+ matches to grind out the SL needed when using premium? There still needs to seriously be some boosting to SL income here.

Any rough estimate other than “summer” for reducing SL cost for Rank VI aviation?
Got all of Sweden VI researched and ready to go and need to start Rank VII but gotta buy VI first. Would feel a bit pained if I’d buy them all right before the reduction…but then again also need to keep momentum going.

These are two changes I am really looking forward to.
Does the team have any thoughts on module research for helicopters? Currently there are a few helicopters without stock ATGMs so it’s quite hard to get RP for them, and helicopter modules seem to cost a lot of RP.

Thx will just go ahead and buy them. Pre grinding the Gripen must continue.

Whats up with the income insurance to premium accounts? Havent seen anything about that in the new roadmaps since the original post about economy changes

what do you mean ? it still is planned and was in the last roadmap update, supposedly with the next batch of economy updates

When normally is the summer update? End of August?
