Because they have justified it with br, instead of simularity, which is just going to make alot of vehicles not end up being played XD

Foldering vehicles based on BR is just foldering vehicles based on a variable. An ever changing value that would require constant re-foldering in the future.
Foldering vehicles based on their design is a constant consistent way of grouping vehicles together. And it requires no re-foldering when BR’s change.
The British Rooikat and Olifant folders are a perfect example here. You are foldering two completely different playstyles because their BR’s are similar.
While if you just made a Rooikat and a Olifant folder you now folder similar playstyles, and make the tree look much more logical.

And what happens when you change the BR of either vehicle? This rule makes zero sense and everyone knows it.
Most of us want the similar vehicles in folders, so we can skip them.
With your system people will now skip both strv103s, which is pretty ridiculous after Kirill himself said that he wants as much diversity in the battles as possible.
Now we will just have bunch of centurions in the swedish lineups without their own unique cheesewedge.
For example SU-152/SU-85/ISU-152, SU-85M/ISU-122 and ISU-112S/SU100 folders are just nonsense.
Su152 and su85 have literally nothing in common, but you put the other su85 in different folder “because they are closer in BR”.
Simply ridiculous…

The folly of locking things into by br is also why the air lines are such a mess, and it will only get worse as time progresses, as it is not uncommon for vehicles to jump and drop .3 br, so this we did it by arcade br lark, will make even less sense in a year from now when they move stuff about.

Its them not understanding what people were asking for, that much is clear, based on the fact literally every comment here has said people wanted folders to skip duplicate and very similar vehicles.

Why is the ADF now under the F-16A, I mean I get the timeline reasoning but due to them being well the other way around, kinda feels unfair that people will have to waste over a mil SL on vehicle that is .3 lower and way worse in overall capability, feels just scummy to me
what about the su 17s for russia? completly ignored?

the Indian ones are made in India itself so would not make sense, and would at the same time, anyway they are not moving it anyway, that and the soviets already have a squadron MBT

They are 2 in height unless the 24 gets added I doubt they get foldered
This makes no sense, the D-9 and D-12 are almost identical and should be foldered together like the 190 A-5s are in Live server right now. Going by BRs makes no sense.

70% of noted groupings in this topic have no reasonable excuse other than “our broken br system works like this”. These changes should be reworked and looked at once again- by people who understand why modifications of vehicles exist and why they should be together no matter the br.

Thank you for that, but the point still stands for a lot of stuff, like I wish I could run my I-301 with the 4.3 Russian fighter line up I use to do many tasks . . . but it is by no means game breaking. There are however a good many tier II vehicles that should/could easily be used for such things. And that is basically what I was asking for consideration. While it would not truly benefit a large portion of the community and is not really to help out end game seekers or those that strive merely to get to top tier, it would be a QoL change for many of us that focus on other parts of the game.

The new folders in Air trees are good but PLEASE folder Soviet and Chinese Ground trees some more at Rank VI. Those two are now the only Ground trees with two entire lines with 3 required vehicles whereas most everyone else only has to research 2 vehicles per line at Rank VI. I could see the T-10M/Object 435 being foldered and the T-55/T-62 folders being merged in the Soviet tree, while foldering the M60A3 TTS/CM11 and ZTZ59D1/ZTZ88s in the Chinese tree is a no-brainer, seeing how similar the vehicles and their BRs are.

And what about the Q5-Early and Q5-A what is the explanation for not grouping? It’s practically the same vehicle and we all want to get faster in the L version that has something really new to add to the game (guided bombs)

It’s a 3.7 plane, and even then it wouldn’t be best in class.
