I wanted to know why Flares and Chaff don’t work against AIM-120, FAKOUR-90 and PL-12.
The R-77 and R-27ER always go for flares and chaff, this frustrates me even at less than 4 km head-on the missions fail and go for countermeasures.
I prefer to use R-73 and R-27ET infrared because the radars are failing a lot.
Does anyone know a better way to use it?
Well, flares do nothing to radar guided missiles.
As for the chaff, likely the target is notching and chaffing.
Advice with the R-27ER, if the radar is defeated by chaff, don’t break the lock, let the IOG do its work
I understand, but even using short range the radar missile fails even without the enemy releasing flares or chaff, this is only happening with Russian jets, testing on those of other nations and this does not happen, I have already reported it to Gaijin but without a response, this is frustrating me.
