Renewed the images since they were broken.
It’s pretty much the same vehicle but no stingers. It would have the FAPDS-T rounds though (which the in-game one should also get tbh).

The new ammo is what I want tbh, so you can also take out incoming missiles.
But lets be honest here, gaijin wont add them cuz fake reason XYZ.
Old ass post yes, but the 2s38 is an anti air platform. it’s just no player in the game has ever used it for that role.
U apparantly never played against 2s38.
Its massively uswd as anti air.
Specialy decimates helis but works against close flying planes as well
+1! This one is badly needed, as the prototype we currently have is lacking in some regards, having more of the Gepard would be great and would allow more decompression whilst still having viable spaa.
The Netherlands were also very involved with the prototype and the current 1A2 production, using the PRTL CA1 GWI variant instead:
+1 Gepards are cool
Some stuff on 35x228 FAPDS:

Timestamped with section relevant to FAPDS.
Note: DM 18 A1 is misidentified as “DM 31”
DM 31 would be HEI-T (535g projectile weight, 98g of Hexal P30, ~4s tracer)
Rounds shown are: (L->R)
DM 33 FAPDS, DM 21 HEI, DM 13 A1 APHEI-T, DM 18 A1 TP-T, DM 23 APDS-T
The early FAPDS round (first image) had a MV of 1400m/s, the brochure its’ shown in is from ~1990.
The serviced FAPDS round features a slightly different sabot than the earlier one and has a higher muzzle-velocity of 1440m/s (figure from 1994 brochure; pictures above and confirmed by the training-film)
