Flak bus Sprgr L 4.5

So apparently there is a german proximity time-fuze shell for flak bus but i cant seem to make it work, i set the sight range to 1,5km and wait until its on 1,30/1,40 and then shoot at it but since the cannon shoots at a higher angle i have to aim lower but still it wont explode on set perimeter or the shell miss entirely without even exploding…

i feel like this shell could do magic if i realize how it actually works since other proximity fuze are insanely good against air

Its not Proxi but time fuze.
It is currently implemented in game in a way that it is absolutly useless against air, as it will always fuze too late.

i tried to set the time fuze for the sight wheel but seems like its not working, there’s a rangefinder upgrade so im guessing it works only for rangefinder instead of the sight distance, if thats how it works then its almost certainly gonna fail bcoz by the moment rangefinder gives the estimated distance the plane would have already surpassed said distance due to it’s constant speed, only way i can see it working is by targeting a hovering helicopter or maybe an open top camper…

if you could set it to the scope distance measurement or have it set to seconds maybe you could calculate distance by shell speed * seconds and make it quite a sucess

edit: i think i found a way to make it work, but i must target something with rangefinder at certain distance and then shoot at a plane when it’s close to it

yeah the way gaijin has set timed fuze requires you to rangefind it, it tends to be rather useless since by the time it finishes rangefinding, planes would have already changed their location and distance to you
manually changing the sight distance doesn’t activate the time fuze

Exactly.

A suggestion to change that was passed to dev’s 2 months ago :) you can still vote on it to give it more attention though.

it would be cool if this feature was reworked bcoz it has alot of potential
