Hello everyone :), what I would like to introduce today is FL-1000.
FL-1000 is a multifunctional air defense vehicle that accompanies armored units to carry out short-range air defense interception and ground attack missions. The vehicle uses an unmanned remote-controlled turret to search and track targets through the photoelectric probes on the turret. The photoelectric probe integrates multiple functions, including white light, infrared, laser and other detection and fire control channels, with 24-hour all-weather detection and combat capabilities. When a target is detected, the laser rangefinder will illuminate the target to obtain distance information, which will then be transmitted to the computer. The gunner sitting in the car can use the computer to control the selection of machine gun or missile for firing interception.
The main weapon of its remote-controlled turret is the QW-2 surface to air missile. This is a single soldier air defense missile that can be launched and used to track targets with a passive infrared guidance head. It can effectively filter various broadband infrared decoys and complex ground infrared clutter signals, enabling omnidirectional attacks. The secondary weapon is a 12.7mm Type 88 vehicle mounted high-altitude dual-purpose machine gun, which is used for conducting close range air attacks and striking ground targets. Due to the thick shells of bombs and missiles, the damage effect of small caliber high explosive shells after hitting is not good. Therefore, 12.7mm Type 84 APDS, APHE, and HEAT ammunition have been developed. If necessary, the machine gun can be replaced with a 35mm automatic grenade launcher to provide fire support for infantry.
The weapon replaced by the weapon station is the QLZ87 35mm automatic grenade launcher for better ground attack effectiveness. This grenade launcher can fire anti armored vehicle armor piercing rounds and can penetrate 80mm homogeneous steel targets. The grenade launcher requires individual portability and self-assembly, or shoulder to shoulder firing, so the initial velocity of the grenade is not high, only 200m/s, which also limits the maximum range, which is about 1750m.
The chassis is Dongfeng Mengshi EQ2050, four-wheel full-time drive, and the highway top speed can reach 120km/h. All components of its engine compartment are equipped with super waterproof impregnation requirements. The water depth can reach 0.75m, and after installing auxiliary devices, it can drive for a long time within a water depth range of 1.2m. When off-road driving through complex terrain, the vertical obstacle height that can be overcome is 450mm.
As a low-cost multifunctional air defense vehicle, this vehicle did not receive much attention and did not receive any orders due to its weak firepower, limited missiles, and lack of radar. So in the later FL-2000 system, ground weapons were eliminated, only missiles were retained, and the turret was enlarged, increasing the number of launched ammunition to 8 missiles, and combined with phased array search radar vehicles to form an air defense position.
FL-1000 is a powerful and highly maneuverable short-range air defense vehicle. It can rely on remote-controlled turrets to achieve both ground attack and air defense interception, providing excellent air defense protection for teammates. When necessary, it can use 12.7mm machine guns to launch APDS attacks on lightly armored targets. Suggest adding a 35mm automatic grenade modification to the modification interface to replace the weapon and achieve stronger ground effect. The high maneuverability of the chassis also allows it to quickly transfer positions and avoid being targeted by concentrated attacks. Suggested BR is 9.3.
