Fixing the XM-1’s Biggest Weakness

Nice to see you here.

The XM-1 are tanks I’ve always avoided because of that missing feature that can mean the difference between life and death in certain situations.

I think Gaijin should seriously consider adding it. It would make the XM-1s much more forgiving to play, and it would likely increase XM-1 sales as well. It seems like they’re passing up an easy opportunity.

What I don’t understand is Gaijin’s approach to historical accuracy. They often present themselves as if historical authenticity is their highest priority, yet their implementation is frequently inconsistent. If they’re willing to make exceptions elsewhere, there’s little reason not to fix the XM-1s as well.

Fair enough. Their treatment of the U.S. can be a little unfair compared to certain other nations, not naming any names.

I’ll still keep pushing for the XM-1 to receive its smoke launchers because Gaijin’s reasons for not adding them is laughable.

Eventually, Gaijin will have to add paper vehicles once they run out of interesting vehicles to introduce with each update. It’s a necessary evil if they want to keep expanding the game. Spread the word so this gets a little more attention. Every contribution helps and won’t go unnoticed.

Another classic example of selective realism.

I’d say maybe instead of them receiving M774, M735 should have it’s ahistorical nerf removed. Yes it’s been a few years since that blatantly false bug report was accepted but it would be better to have that round changed than for the XM1s to get M774.

Hang on, did they nerf American shells like they did with Britain’s, for no reason?

I think it was about 2 years ago now but someone submitted a blatantly false bug report that reduced M735’s penetration by a lot. It was later proven to be false and Gaijin admitted it was, but they have yet to reverse the change.

You won’t be the first or the last person to push for the XM1 getting smoke dischargers. The ONLY time they will give an XM1 smoke dischargers is the XM1 Chrysler (2nd prototype) if they ever added that as an event/premium vehicle. M774 is also a rather big ask for a 9.0, due to all its factors I can see it being pushed as high as 9.7.

For 9.3

I finally found something!

You beauty, where’d this one creep from?

Shame its just a model

It looks like the same smoke launchers found on the MBT-70. This is a good thing because it pretty much tells us and gaijin where the smoke launchers would go on the XM1s. All we have to do now is push hard for this to be implemented by spreading it around the forums and whatnot.

I’m going to make a new post about it.

Fun fact it’s the same problem with spas and why they’re so strong now.

They kinda turned off HE for auto cannons one update, and for a hot fix buffed the fragments auto cannon aphe can create and forgot to revert the buff after fixing the HE… Whoops

I might be stupid, but what is the top tank?

Oh they damn well know where they would go, but because no prototype has been pictured with them they don’t care

The Char 25T which is completely overtiered

Apparently, the revised version did, but I can’t find any pictures of it. The XM1 Abrams prototypes had them, so the competing XM1 (GM) did too.

Oh
