Fix the damn T-34

The T-34 has been into the game since the start of Ground Battles 10+ years ago, and a constant in this game has always been the fact its armor is absolutely cracked. It was cracked before volumetric and it is more cracked than ever with volumetric. I think the playerbase is absolutely tired of fighting a half-baked tank with an armor that is strong not due to its thickness but due to how wonky the game engine is. Need some proof?here you go

It’s absolutely ludicrous that a normal spot to pen has 900+ mm of thickness only because it’s the space between the gun mantlet and the cheek. Not even the best performing APFSDS in the game can penetrate this spot, and stuff like the Hellfire-K or the ZT3A2 could have difficulty penetrating this bit.

This rant can be extended further into volumetric as a whole: the community is tired of getting Gaijin’d because the code is held together by faith and duct tape

Where are the money of sales going into, other than development of the game? where are the bug fixes, the serious QoL updates and the general avoidance of stuff like this?

show me the same spot with darts, I am interested.

its not like you could really pen that spot anyway cause of the angle

Remember that when using traditional rounds like apcbc etc, the projectile is rounded and as such has a higher tendency to glance off small curved surfaces. But still - 900mm is crazy I just would not rely on those stats.
Aiming for the apex of a curved surface is far more reliable.

regardless of those numbers - that is a terrible shot and wont work unless it glances off the edge of mantlet into the flat turret face.

These things have very goofy armour indeed, wouldn’t call it stupidly OP, but it shrugs off rounds that would’ve fractured the hull in reality. Should get reworked along with a couple other bad volumetric offenders like the later Churchills.

Panthers and Tiger 1s also have an older armour model, they also have a lot of annoying volumetric spots that eat rounds for breakfast.

yeah I know.
But it’s just amusing when people tend to “find” those only on soviet tanks.
And yes, that place has actually saved me couple times, when was wiggling my turret :D
