Fix the daily login streak rewards

Why does the daily login streak the way it is? This is just so awful barely any reward for logging in and while playing every-day and losing that streak when you have a life. BTW WT Mobile is not the answer. Having played over 5k hours spending more real money on premium account and premium vehicles this is how you get treated. Being a loyal customer and player for years and years. The reward for logging in 100 days, 1 year is a decal, and nothing else. The daily login rewards are almost the same every day. you lost all the steaks because you don’t login for 3 days is such a stupid thing not to mention it makes you feel burned out as all that time spent every day was for nothing. I feel so burned out. I know I’m not the only one and not the first to complain about this issue. Crazy thing is everyone in the comment will go “deal with it” as that will make any progress for WT and Gaijin. I love WT but playing the game doesn’t have any fun while thinking the dev doesn’t care about the game and its player base and customers. Please for the love of the game make the streak last at least 1 months before you lose it and give the players better rewards for logging in. The boosters aren’t worth anything if you lose the game and don’t help with the grind. Give us SL or GE, players don’t have to play your game, but they do because they love the game and in return you should reward them. It’s not very rewarding getting cut off because you miss 1 week or 3 days. The grind is already hard enough and basically no support to lift that burden by daily rewards. Even getting the achievements are a joke because you don’t get anything worth those achievements.

Your issue is more with the rewards than the actual logging in from your post. I agree the rewards for continually logging in are nothing great.

For those with actual lives outside of War Thunder, I just maintain my streak with the mobile app. I don’t actually even play it, just log in when I’m away from home to maintain the streak.

Is there any benefit to maintaining the streak? Not really as you stated the rewards are nothing special.

I’m curious to know how laucnhing a game on a phone (which is nothing more than a miniaturized computer) versuslaunching it on a laptop or desktop computer makes you someone who has a life?

Since when do we make snap judgments like that?

Relax.

The point of the post is the daily login rewards, not whether or not you agree with my statement.

This may sound weird at first, but I think the rewards should stay inconsequential. If the daily rewards were crazy good then you would feel obligated to always login every day. As it stands today I never feel like I need to login, and that’s what it should be like.

I think you’d get much more enjoyment out of the game by simply changing your mindset to the ‘rewards are a nice optional bonus’ rather than ‘keeping my streak is vital’, because it isn’t.

Daily logins do kinda do nothing. I think like day 50/100/150/etc… giving a random rank1 premium(not event) would be a lot better, especially if u get like 100 GE if u already own it

Just delete the resetting all together. I refuse to play or even open this game everyday, thats the fastest way to burn out.

Then players wouldn’t have an incentive to return to the game constantly. Plenty of games have the same system, it’s a free way to keep up an active playerbase

Nah, I open it most days to claim the reward even if I don’t play. If u don’t wanna get burn out, play for enjoyment rather than the grind. Giving up on top tier made my experience much more enjoyable

I do that ;)

Literally the reason I have been exclusively playing french midtier and nothing else

The daily login streak is not really for us, but for gaijin to pad their stats, including daily users. They recently added more silly decals for daily login for… up to 15 years. This is so stupid, especially with the 3-day reset. Because of that I lost more than 3 years of daily logins before. This seems so disrespectful towards long term players. Daily login rewards are a joke (I’m looking at you 10% booster for ONE match) and especially bad after removing the GE wagers. How about them blueprint rewards for a new vehicle as a reward? Nope, never got one, even Tier I.
Backup vehicles reward at the end of some matches? So what, we get free ones every day now, yet the extra ones are still in rotation as rewards. I either get something like 25k SLs or these backups. Lame and boring. Why would I need more backups, if I already have more than 2,000 of them?

Other gaijin games have some interesting upgrade paths and you always grind something new and receive more components. In WT you just get some crummy SLs, get some backups and then grind Parts and FPE for the n-th time since the early days. You get to Level 100 in about a year, but it would take you 100+ years to get all the medals. The progression is lame and outdated, including the in-game gold star “achievements”. Don’t even get me started on the convertible RP.

That’s why I was saying they should at least give us something that’s worthwhile for long term players but somehow everyone is against this for some reason. My intension was for players to benefits off of something everyone’s doing for almost no reason and getting basically nothing out of it.

I am currently on day 790 or so.

About 7 years ago it erased my… 500ish day login? And that made me quit the game for a few years.

The rewards are small and laughable.

I have nearly 2,000 universal backups worth nothing to me.
Not to mention how many Battle Wagers I don’t even know hw to get.
And how worthless they are.
10 friggen games for 500k lions? HAHAHAHA

Hi, I just got my 9 year veteran badge, which IS kinda nice…

but the additional 75% research booster felt like a slap in the face.

There needs to be a little more for dedicated longtime players with a certain login discipline.

I have now reached day 337 of logging into War Thunder, and today’s reward from the medium trophy was a 10% Research Point booster for all allies. I have attached a screenshot so people can see exactly what I received.

I understand that the booster is not completely useless. It gives a small benefit to the team when it is activated, and daily logins also contribute progress towards the Battle Pass. However, after reaching 337 days, a 10% team booster does not feel like much of a reward.

I am not expecting Golden Eagles, premium time, a million Silver Lions or a premium vehicle every day. That would be unreasonable, especially when the only requirement for the normal reward is opening the game. My problem is that the regular rewards do not seem to become meaningfully better as the login counter increases.

From what I understand, having a longer login history does not improve the odds of receiving something valuable from the random trophy. There are special rewards at certain milestones, but a player with hundreds of login days can still receive the same small booster as someone near the beginning of their login counter.

That makes the number feel a little pointless. If the game is going to keep track of hundreds or even thousands of logins, I think the rewards should have a stronger connection to that number.

I know the developers already have a lot to work on. War Thunder has aircraft, tanks, helicopters and naval forces, alongside regular updates, events, new vehicles, economy changes and bug fixes. I understand that changing the daily-reward system may not be the highest priority.

However, I would still like the system to be reviewed and improved in the future. The game already has plenty of reward types, so it would not necessarily require everything to be replaced. The value of the rewards and the way they are selected could be improved instead.

For example, the system could:

  • Gradually increase the minimum value of rewards as the login counter rises.
  • Improve the chance of receiving a valuable reward after major milestones.
  • Allow players to choose between two or three rewards.
  • Guarantee a better reward every 30, 50 or 100 days.
  • Provide stronger or longer-lasting boosters at higher milestones.
  • Prevent large or huge trophies from awarding something that feels no better than a normal daily trophy.
  • Give players more permanent rewards for supporting the game over a long period.

A choice between rewards would be particularly helpful. Different players need different things. A newer player might prefer Silver Lions, while someone researching a vehicle might prefer a personal Research Point booster. Another player might find a team booster more useful. Even a small choice would make the reward more likely to be useful without making it excessively valuable.

I also think a unique vehicle could be an appropriate reward for reaching a major milestone, such as 200 or 300 days.

The vehicle would not need to be high-ranking or extremely powerful. I would actually prefer something interesting and collectible, such as an unusual historical vehicle, a special modification of an existing vehicle or a vehicle with a unique permanent camouflage. It should be fun to own without giving anyone an unfair advantage in battle.

It could also be non-tradeable and permanently linked to the player’s account. This would make it a genuine reward for that player rather than something people could collect only to sell on the Marketplace.

I realise that guaranteeing a vehicle could cause problems with people using bots, automated logins or extra accounts purely to farm rewards. Some people might open the game every day without actually playing it, while others could try to collect accounts containing the milestone vehicle.

To help prevent that, receiving the vehicle could require both the login milestone and a reasonable amount of genuine activity. For example, the player might need to reach 300 login days and complete a certain number of battles during that period.

Possible requirements could include:

  • A minimum number of properly completed battles.
  • A reasonable amount of actual battle time.
  • Activity spread across several weeks or months.
  • Both login progress and gameplay activity being required.
  • The vehicle being permanently linked to the account and made non-tradeable.
  • Accounts caught using bots, cheats or prohibited software being disqualified.

I would not want the gameplay requirement to be excessive. Players have work, health conditions, disabilities, families and other responsibilities. Not everyone can play for several hours every day. A modest amount of activity spread across the 200 or 300 days would be enough to show that the account belongs to a genuine player.

For example, the system could require a player to complete a small number of battles each month. This would be better than requiring hundreds of hours of gameplay or forcing people to play every single day. The aim should be to discourage automated accounts and reward farming, not to exclude casual players.

I know that no system will completely prevent abuse, but I do not think that should stop the idea from being considered. Sensible activity requirements, together with making the vehicle non-tradeable, would remove much of the incentive for people to farm it.

I am also aware that the game already offers rewards such as boosters, Silver Lions, universal backups and the possibility of vehicles. My suggestion is not based on those rewards being completely absent. The issue is that useful rewards are random, while a long login history does not appear to guarantee that the regular reward will improve.

I would like major milestones to feel more meaningful. Reaching 200 or 300 days could guarantee something memorable, while the normal rewards between those milestones could gradually improve. Rare random prizes could still remain in the system.

I am not demanding an overpowered vehicle or expensive prizes simply for opening the game. I just think that reaching hundreds of login days should feel different from reaching the first few weeks.

A 10% team booster is not worthless, but receiving it on day 337 does not feel like much recognition for a long login history. A better progression system, some choice over regular rewards and a unique vehicle at a major milestone would give players something worthwhile to work towards.

I would be interested to hear what other players think. How would you improve daily rewards while keeping them fair and preventing bots or reward farming?

Because there are no special reward for 337 days. Daily logins are in 2 week cycles (you get big trophy every 2 weeks).

Thank you for the reply. I understand that there is no special reward for reaching day 337, and I only used that day as an example. My main point is that the regular rewards often feel underwhelming for players like me who log in and play every day. Even from the larger trophies, the best I usually receive is around 10 universal backups or a 500% booster—which always seems to bring bad luck and gets me destroyed as soon as I enter a match, lol.

I would just like the daily rewards to better recognise long-term, active players.

yes because getting 5 back ups every 2 weeks is a good reward

Daily login rewards are various, because players play WT in various way. For some, that 10 backups are great, because they play a lot of battles per day and they will use them no time. Boosters do not bring good or bad luck :) 500% Booster is a huge boost for SL/RP.

You are getting that daily login for simple click on game icon. If we will start to give away box of oranges + 1M SL + unique flying saucer (deliberate exaggeration) for it, you will expect to get it every day + even bigger reward for login to game and pressing space :)

I understand that not all daily rewards can be great (for you), but that’s just a small bonus for login, nothing more.

It can be, as mentioned above.
