In the past i probably would have agreed. But longbow hellfires are a lot. Radar guided hellfires would be extremely hard to counter compared to current implementations. So ATM no in the future maybe?
I mean I do agree with it…but not until we receive more proper SAM systems or vehicles like the QN506, PUMA VJTF, Vilkas, Freccia etc…to other nations like the Japanese Chu-MPM with fire and forget missiles and able to lock unto Helis at max range. That’s just me.
Only agree if the heli actually has them.
No helicopter should ever get FnF missiles. It’s already bad enough as is.
fair but thats why I said what I did restirct how many get it.
Yeah every nation, i try to fight against pantsir with hellfires, i get absolutely stomped on.
Like if they actually kill tanks, most of the time they get used against SPAAs.
I very much doubt that, since the missiles you talking about can go through smoke, trees, so the addition may take few years.
I’d rather SPAA be buffed to a ridiculous degree instead of making tankers lives worse.
More SPAAs are coming, people can’t stay with the same missile for years and add more and more powerful SPAAs to the game, AGM144L is the right choice, if its too OP nerf it but atleast it would deal with Pantsir.
Eh FnF missiles are 50/50 imo they attempt to go through a tree and are more likely to lose lock not always but still. Regardless id still rather use a proper CAS jet like f16 and such rather than a heli anyways.
Do helicopter spike missiles get effected by ground vehicles that have jammers?
I used helicopter spikes and they seem to fail a lot of time due to terrain features. Many times unusable due to dense cover like wooded hills and urban maps.
I don’t think adding fire and forget missiles will really change anything. I feel like its rare to see them used at their current br.
They are optical tracked so if the target obstructed. it will lose lock.
Because hellfires are completely useless when it comes to being competitive with Vikhrs, the addition of AGM144L is needed to deal with SPAAs otherwise Helicopters are a useless thing that SPAAs like ITO or Pantsir can easily kill.
I wouldn’t even take soviet helis either but sure thats on me for not explaining myself. I dont think russia has good CAS, the su25sm3 can be good, the f16 imo is the best in game. Helicopters are worthless. F16C is just better and faster and way more oppressive.
Not if you can guide your missile straight to enemy helicopters and not dying with a simple shot from a bt-7 then its worthless but other than that Russian helicopter are totally worth it, that’s why hundreds of thousands bought and still buy the Ka50 unlike other nations.
F16C is a good jet i agree, but that still doesn’t change the fact that AGM144L cannot come in the game, as i said if its too OP then nerf it.
I own soviet helis the straight guide missiles can be nice but at 11.7 im taking a jet. Its why i have two jets on ym us lineup. Helicopters don’t work on any nation
IDK if the Soviets have one, but they do deserve IR guided as much as USA.
AH-64E can use them, so that’s the candidate for America.
Dunno about USSR though.
I try to fight [vehicle] in [vehicle it counters] pls help me
Stop using helis to fight pantsirs you monkey
Honestly if you can pop up attack it effectively it can work better than some jets.
You can easily shoot them down.
Pars 3 LR and more so Spike ER fly really low.
At least with FlaRakRad and OTOMATIC I can reliably destroy these kind of missiles. Especially because they also get shown on radar and can be locked on.
That could get a bit complicated.
Germany, Italy, France and Israel already have them.
The USA, UK, Japan and Israel can get the AGM-114L and China the HJ-10.
But Sweden and Russia will be complicated.
For Sweden, I could only imagine that they are given the Dutch AH-64D so that they can also use the Hellfire Longbow.
For Russia it’s complicated because the only FaF missile their helicopters use is the LMUR, which has a range of 14.5 km and can therefore outrange most air defence systems.
To be honest, I can only imagine the introduction of an Indian helicopter like the HAL Parchand. It has the domestic Helina missile which has somewhat the same range as Spike ER.
