Can you tell me the static thrust ingame with WTRTI? Ram your jet against the nearest building slowly in the test drive and then accelerate.
F-18A and C early have 7256kgf per engine, in the Israeli map. Other maps have different air temps and may influence the thrust a bit

Not for the Finnish, but for the Swiss from 2007. The OPS Manual is not legit source, as it is not publicly available not allowed for distribution. I got it because I was in SAF. I cannot leak it, sorry.
The HMD at that time is purely navigation. No way to control weapon system off-bore.
I think rather useless in WT ;-)
So yeah the C late has more power
I checked finlands report on their f18 and it has jdams and glide bombs as well as long range air to ground missles, it also has HMD, Gaijin could solve multiple problems (Sweden not having a good strike and air to ground top tier vehicle, only 1 top tier vehicle, unrealistic f18c loadout and radar) by simply adding hmd and a2g ordinance to the finish f18
with no CAS capability?
i prefer upgrade radar of Gripen or just Gripen E
The version coming to the game for Sweden is the earliest version of the Finnish F-18C not the middle F-18C MLU 1 or the later F/A-18C MLU 2 (although arguments can be made for the MLU 1 upgrades giving it HMD at least which i’m personally hoping for).

so far it seems to very much be confirmed that we will be getting the F-18C (Pre-MLU 1) sadly
if it stays at 14.0 it will be the worst 14.0 plane in the game by quite a margin
allthough i think the Pre-MLU 1 should still have acces to dumb bombs and rockets

no, gaijin forgot to remove HMS from the radar on the Finnish F-18C
since the Finnish F-18C is the Pre-MLU 1 model it has no HMS
Well the gripen E isnt here yet is it and Smin has already stated that gaijin have any plans to change how the current Gripen C’s are
Someone may need to check but idk how but thr Finnish Hornet may weigh the same as the US model despite not having the A2G avionics.
In my opinion, Finnish hornets would have no historical problems if they could be A2G (Regardless of the version)
The reason is simple: already Gaijin has broken history and added the Hori Yangsan and F-16AJ lol
Do we know anything about the finnish C having weaker engines? Because on the dev it has around 700 kgf less than the engines on the F-18C Late

Shouldn’t be worse than the US model. They should be the same. Seems more so gaijin doing the usual and trying their hardest to screw Finland over lol. I’ll dig through some stuff later, currently on vacation in köyliö for the time being so im unable to properly use any resources on my home PC.

@Smin1080p_WT was there a specific reason the Finnish F18 has weaker engines than the US model. None of my info before stated they should be weaker but im not home to be able to check. Seems like it could just be a deliberate choice by gaijin so i figured id ask.

As a joke, it seems we only have two nations in War Thunder.
Better Premium netz in the same BR of the Regular one, with 120 extra CM
And Same F-18C hornet in same BR but worse than US counterparts…

We Brits also awaited an extra 5 months for the Aussie F-111C’s extra AIM-9L on wing pylon(4->6) in Feb 2025
