Final Challenger 2 Variant

So, we definitely have enough Challenger 2s already in game, however with the exception of the Black Night, none are overly competent(although they can be very good if you know how to play them) but for the most part they are victims of the Leopards and T series of tanks, what we need as our final challenger 2 Model is the street fighter, this is a challenger 2 model with a few changes, first it has Dorchester armour mounted the entire was around the turret giving it protection from shaped charges and chemical rounds the entire way around, it also has armour mounted to the belly of the hull, namely the front plate(the challengers notorious weak spot) which can protect it significantly against kinetic rounds, it also had the roof mounted 7.6m Chain gun removed and removed with either a .50 or a 40mm Grenade launcher(which would be good for light skinned vehicles and possibly helicopters if they come too close). All of this make it very powerful already, it also comes with Driver Thermal upgrades, the usual signal jammer on the roof but also a new IR scrambler on the front that creates a massive heat signature to confuse missiles, this would be effective against air to ground missiles like maverick possibly, also PARS, this would easily make challenger 2 competitive again and comparable to T90M even, along with all of this it still gets the ERA side skirts and can still be fitted with the turrets side NERA package and the caged armour to protect further from HEAT and non tandem charge missiles. We definitely need this in game as our 12.0 tank as this would make challenger 2 as good in game as it is in real life(until gaijin nerf it because they realise Russian tanks are secretly inferior)

They also test mounted Brimstone to the top of it! Meta and map design make Chally 2 a poor option.
Adding more armour and weight wont matter when. Every other MBT at the tier, makes its mobility look like a Maus.

With M1, Type 10 and Leclerc all getting reload buffs the 4 second reload for 4 shells! isnt really an advantage anymore. Sadly even the CR3 is average

Well, it still has a max speed of 56km/h, making it faster than Abrams SepV2 at top speed, acceleration is the only bad part, it would still be powerful though as it still has a good reverse gear and it can now sustain more damage

They put the 1500HP engine in it and added more armour to it, do you think its going to accelerate and drive fast in game. Until Gaijin tailor gear ratios for individual vehicles it will be a slug.
I like the idea, but Britain as a meta nation is just not goign to happen.

Never said Meta, just somewhat competitive

You know the Brimstone launcher on street fighter ii is a mock up right

Don’t tell Gaijin that

Well, i dont have time to go over everything in this post, will do so later. Can you post your source for that version?

I’m aware it’s not exactly a proper government source but as the variant is still being upgraded it’s still very much classified for the most part

Sorry to say this, but the site talks about DL2H (TES) with some bullshit like calling DL2H DL2E
I will send you Street Figher I and II later when i will be back on PC, and i will debunk the whole thing.

Probably considering the meta and the maps, the best Challenger 2 will always be the 2E.

False black night

(I like it cause its black)

It does use DL2E for the most part, with the exception of additional 2H mounted around the turret, probably embedded in the armour, hence the weight increase despite a lack of ERA

Edit: Street fighter 2 was cancelled and only one was produced, that was the variant that had the X-ray system and twin brimstone launchers on the roof

I will be on my PC in a hour, i will debunk it.

Yeah feel free to prove me wrong(we want gaijin to add it and it be good my guy😭)

SEPV2 has 68km top speed, still faster then Chally 2.

One of the TOG II version were just mockups so there is a possibility it could come

the many cr2s in game arent competitive because gaijin doesnt want to. it was proven with the most recent rework.

adding another cr2 on top wont change anything.

The issue here is more that it wasn’t even a mock-up of a possible solution it was just a “hey look we could fit brimstones in this now empty space”. The CR2 has no way of aiming or targeting these brimstones, and no method was ever planned because this wasn’t a serious industry proposal it was just soldiers brainstorming.
