We could always have both but the upgraded one would have less stealth by its nature of being bigger.
On the contrary the bigger hull has even more angled and curved shapes along the bow and other parts to reduce rcs as per japanese procurement It should be even stealthier than current mogami’s

true stealth is complex but who knows the real stealth effects. We will see how its modeled or what the hull looks like as its not built yet.
Mogami’s not only uses low observability design used to reduce the radar cross section but also stealth coating derived from the X-2 shinshin program wich its heavily resistant to sea conditions.

There is more and more bats with an actual radar for air (and boats I guess ?) and the BVR with boat could be fun, I think.

i think this will be related to gaijin’s addition of RCS on stuff like weapons and air vehicles wich was planned for the future, the same could be applied here and there could be aegis systems or ships with heavily defended airspace thanks to their armament, asymetric warfare would be more viable for this kind of ships

Naval is likely going to go in that direction though people will have to be fine with a change in pace with naval with these ships. Its basically launch and wait some time and see if you get lucky. Though there are some fun options

i could see player controlled aircraft carrier being the center line of matches providing a protective objective and players could spawn planes from there aswell as the main user being capable of having command options, would make aircraft carriers more viable for wt, but this is obviously a wishlist not a statement, but it could be a solution for adding player controlled aircraft carriers

afaik we are supossed to be seeing an improved version of this with the addition of OYQ-1, unless it has been fitted already?
edit; nvm it already has been fitted with this its just getting optimized but its getting an overall upgrade for the integration of the new radar aswell as better processing power

I hope we get the Japan’s F-3 “Prototype” in game as a team mate to the Mogami / super Mogami so we have a great future top tier naval tag team. Ship brings the major amount of fire power and if you do well you bring out the F-3 with some sort of anti-ship missiles to finish off and remaining ships.
She will need a good stealthy line up

would be nice the mitsubishi F-X there is enough info of it for being added but it would be somewhat fictional since it never made into a full flying model
