Indeed, and my favorite cope is what people say during the dev servers.
“It’s just the dev server, this implementation of x isn’t what they will push live.”
Time and time again I have watched Gaijin fail to meaningfully fix many vehicle and weapon implementations before live, so what can I do but laugh? lol
I do not honestly know, since theres so few missiles where it aligns with either. However since wing area multiplier includes fusalage area (its the baseline 1 in the value), i’ve assumed it to be accounted for in the distance calculation. Although my bug reports on such were denied due to relying on datamined values, so I really dont know how accurate that is.
It’s the weekend, so Gaijin isn’t working right now. If we want any changes to the data, we’ll have to wait until Monday. But in the meantime, we need to report this issue as much as possible—otherwise Gaijin will just ignore this disaster.
This is definitely a bug or intended outcome, there is no way an advanced missile like this can be dodged just by doing a barrel roll, just turned the whole china top tier air into a joke.
for all purposes considered though it’s pretty rare to find someone that tries rolling below that distance if you’re already in a headon with them. saying this from experience
