To be precise, I was referring to the Fox-3s in War Thunder, they all have the same seeker except for the MICA; they all have very similar guidance systems, but even the Fox-1s are very similar within their respective groups (Pulse, CW, etc.) it’s only the Fox-1s that are more different.
and yet each aircraft has its own specific and possibly unique flight model (excluding c&p) so honestly i dont agree with your assesment of the reality of this games underlying code.
already cracks forming in the argument
you say its just a game, however its a game based on real life and it claims to abide by real life rules, so forgive me for wanting it to be modelled more accurately ESPECIALLY when it is ENTIRELY within the scope of development capbility of those who are responsible for developing this game
To see things your way, you deny the true reality; it’s a fact that the game lacks any sense of reality, and it’s poorly made or lacks certain mechanics, but this is a game after all
Some newly discovered issues — the PL-12’s response speed is significantly slower compared to modern ARH missile, appearing closer to sparrow.
In these tests, all missiles fuel and thrust removed, are HOBS launched at 800 m/s , are set to begin maneuvering after 1.0 seconds, and the autopilot overload limit is set to 18G (which is higher than the actual available overload of all missiles tested here).data recorded every 0.033 seconds
Available overload should have nothing to do with PID, but response speed may be related to PID. From this perspective, the PL-12 is indeed a missile that is too stable ( overdamping?).
Saying and doing are two completely different things
must be the same dev that said essm sources arent usable for amraam er when involving kinematics
so me saying that the missile feels retarded was actually correct

is this right, why does 7p have more available g load than aim 120
Yeah seems hes just trolling

7P experienced a fairly noticeable overshoot, with peak overload reaching 19.1G, before finally dropping back to around 18G under the effect of PID.
R-77 will not encounter this problem. Su-30mkk has received more complaints than MK2 because of PL-12. If it can only carry R-77 like MK2, then the problem is unlikely to be so serious that gaijin must take measures.
So how much advantage does the overload performance of PL-12 have compared to AIM-7P?
Pretty sure people hated on the MKK more not because of the PL-12, but because it’s Chinese.
A lot of people have a hate boner for anything Chinese for no real reason.
i disagree su30mk2 was broken already, but su30mkk? outrageously op with pre nerf pl12s, pl8bs are also better than r73s in most cases
still doesnt excuse gutting the PL-12, shoudve just moved up the SU-30MKK/MK2
Would be like me saying to nerf the AMRAAM since the top performers at top tier use them
absolutely. the su30mk2 and mkk are still broken after the nerf cause 6 r77s and 4 r73s/pl8b is still bs at 13.3. amraam comparison is a bit sketchy though its the weakest missile on the 14.7s but its on the craziest airframe.
those vehicles still outperform all the others by a fair margin… but still you get the point
22g is the peak overload for post-nerf pl12 I believe, not sure where i saw that was either here, reddit or youtube.
