The May Sale has always been one of the most anticipated events in War Thunder, but this year’s launch feels like a major missed opportunity for both the developers and the players.
While many were ready to support the game and expand their lineups, several issues have made it difficult to justify participating in this sale:
Technical Stability: The immediate crash of both the game servers and the store website during the launch was a frustrating experience. For an event of this scale, the community expects a much smoother entry.
Marketing Consistency: Seeing the F-4S Phantom prominently featured on the sale’s promotional banner, only to find it excluded from the actual discounts, was misleading. Correcting it later doesn't change the initial confusion it caused for many customers.
The Missing Meta: There is a clear disconnect between the current vehicle selection and what the community is actually playing. Many of us were looking forward to discounts on high-demand vehicles like the ZTZ96B, the French/Swedish Leopard 2A4s, the Su-30MK2/MKK series, Hornets, and newer premiums like the Type 90 Fuji and F-2A ADTW.
Excluding these highly anticipated vehicles makes the sale feel outdated and out of touch with the 2026 meta. We want to invest in the game, but it’s hard to do so when the content we’ve been waiting for is ignored in favor of older, less relevant packs.
We hope the team takes this feedback into account and reconsiders the current lineup. As it stands, this sale doesn’t feel like a celebration for the players.
but this is sale anyways, and it’s not just a small sale, it’s a big may sale that was alyways has some really good sales, even in the last year there was some good vehicles but now? there is absolutly nun good about this sale. The sales that been on other vehicles in the previous sale in 2026 are just gone

It’s the same story every year and every sale (and every battle Pass, and every Event,…).
I don’t know what people expect when they just complain: Hey, it’s a sale, meaning you get something with a discount! It doesn’t mean everything must be off.
And it’s not a scandal when one’s desired vehicle is not included.
I’m always astonished when people believe they have somehow been wronged if they don’t get something they want on discount. So one waits for the next discount, or if one really wants something specific, would get it even without discount, no?
