Fantastic characteristics of the Yak9k and its 45 mm machine gun with cartridges

What a plane with fantastic performance. The turn time and rate of climb are better than the light Japanese with machine guns. Yak9k with a tank gun, automatic loader and ammunition. Ahaha seriously!?? At the same time, the gun fires 45mm shells like an AK47 assault rifle. I believe I believe that this was invented in the 40s. This needs to be cleaned up urgently. Absolutely imbalanced aircraft and gun

Yak-9UK better

Balanced, yeah, maybe, but the performance of the aircraft is pretty accurate.

Wait until you hear about what the recoil of the gun did to the real aircraft.

That’s why full production was never rolled out.

First built in 1944, has a fire rate of 260-280 RPM depending on the RPM of the engine it’s firing through. It’s on par with early tank cannons, it’s similar in nature to the Bofors L/70 autocannon, but general early Russian tanks had a 37mm or 45mm cannon.

It definitely doesn’t have the RPM of a AK-47, the AK being more akin to 600 RPM, that about 2.1x slower…

Runs off of short recoil, simply turning the inertia from the 45mm’s casing to a force used to push the bolt and firing pin back to kick the round out and lock another in the chamber.

I’m surprised that a 45mm auto cannon with the rate of fire of the Chauchat LIMG impresses you.

Fake, YAK’s cant even outturn Spitfires, not speaking of Japanese fighters.
Additionally it’s 4.0 aircraft with performance worse than what it’s based of, Yak-9 (3.0)

Gave 45MM cannon some meaning and now mf’s crying like 50MM or german 30mm was never a thing.
Yes it did go from useless to good, but never became perfect due to 45MM being innacurate both IRL and in game, having to fire twice or more just shows how innacurate it is.

Not even mentioning how much of bomb payload USA fighters always had, literally any fighter you pick in USA is gonna hve better bomb ordinance than strike aircrafts of other nations.
