I know many of you might not care much about this topic, but as a console player, I wanted to share my thoughts as friendly and respectfully as possible.
As we all know, Gaijin has gone through a lot to make War Thunder available on consoles, and I fully respect that. But I still believe there could be some kind of system that wouldn’t violate Sony or Microsoft’s rules — something that gives console players at least a fairer experience.
Right now, console players can’t trade, sell, or gift anything, and even the chests we open cost more to unlock compared to PC. On top of that, when we “sell” them, we only get 25 Warbonds — which honestly feels unfair, considering the real value those chests can have on PC.
Idea:
What if console players could have a point Bank system?
Basically, instead of selling chests for almost nothing, we could store their value as points or tokens in a personal bank. Once we’ve saved enough, we could then contact a moderator or use an in-game request system to exchange those points for a skin, vehicle, or another chest of our choice — something that keeps things balanced without breaking console platform rules.
i do know this the moderatoers say this have to bo moved to suggetions but befor that i could just hope to get thieres anttention and the community itself
I hope this idea sounds reasonable, and I’d love to hear others’ thoughts about it.

i do know that there is many post about this but i feel there need to be more anttention to this area
The chests have no value on PC either, since the skins are random. The chests sell at the minimum allowed .1 GC, and there are thousands for sale at any given time, so they are literally the most worthless items on the market.
If this is implemented, it should be for everyone, not just console. At the same time, it would literally kill the Gaijin market, so they will never do it.
The issue is that most players avoid using the market due to its high cost. Skins are one thing, sure, but a majority that are sold are under 1 GC, whereas all but the crappiest vehicles are over 20-30 GC if not way more for the good ones.
true, the market can be costly but it´s still part of the games economy and rewards system. Consoles players just want a fair alternative, not necessarily the same thing just something equal in value
That’s the thing; there is no fair alternative. It will either be worse (which console players will complain about), better (which PC players will complain about), or the same (which, at this point, is not feasible due to restrictions by Microsoft and Sony). Allowing console players to get the Obj-279 for free through a points system will piss off every PC player because the only way we can get it, besides gambling GE in the events that happen twice or so throughout the year, is to pay over 1300 GC.
I agree that 25 warbonds is little, but at the same time, it is a trophy worth basically nothing, so there is no incentive for them to give us anything for it. A better option would be for them to allow us to recycle them like unwanted boosters, backups, or orders.
But this is just… it has lot of problems. Theres a million and one questions to answer.
You said “store” their value. Wouldnt that effectively be selling?
You also said “their value” but do you mean their warbond value, or market value in GJN coins?
If by “their value” you meant warbonds, how would you determine the prices of skins and vehicles in warbonds? Or rather who would determine it?
If by “their value” you meant GJN coins, how would you solve the issue with supply and demand for those crates? Since even if I wanted to exchange my skin crates for GJN, someone would need to be buying first.
If by “their value” you meant GJN, how would you solve the further issues with supply and demand regarding skin and vehicle aviability? Theres artificial scarcity, for example, there are 7 IS-7s to sell, but only one sells for 1949 GJN. The second one sells for 1980. Would your point system sell the IS-7 to all console players for the lowest price?
Further, would any sold IS-7 be removed from the market?
how will it kill the market if its only for console players, tell me if I’m wrong but I don’t think people are going to change their account to be a console account so they can get a guaranteed skin, you guys already get guaranteed skins and mods and sights because of war thunder market and WT live while like OP says we only get 25 warbonds for a chest… Not even enough to buy a special task. As long as we don’t get the vehicles from OPs proposed idea what’s the issue, its not like we can sell the skins, and if someone changes their console account to PC then if its on their account they should NOT be allowed to sell anything to help prevent this from becoming a issue (but from my understanding account changing is broken rn so yeah…) And no it shouldn’t be for everyone because then PC player would likely start to inflate the marketplace with skins
(If there is any confusion with my post ask me about it and I will try to clear it up the best I can)
