Fair Play: November 2024

Sorry for saying that but it things that a lot of Top 20 squadrons do to players they don’t like. There is a problem there and should be reviewed

That’s so wrong. If you mass report, it may well be that you are banned instead for spammign reports.

I keep repeating this here in the forum: It’s not the amount of reports that matters, but what the reports contain. And this is checked thoroughly.

You were temp banned for tking.

Oh yeah, 30, 40 TKs in two weeks is a lot. Makes you really wonder how often someone is friendly-firing just for the sake of doing it

I’ve ended up opening up full-burst on a few friendly bombers in air sim, due to chinese b-25js and similar silhouettes in the early korean war bracket.

I’ve also shot a few friendlies in furballs by accident.

And while learning IR missiles, the missile didn’t know where it was.

Somehow, I wasn’t banned despite these.

And I felt I was having a bit too many TKs

Having read the comments i do have some concerns on how the bans are being handed out? Like for example missiles deciding to chase a friendly aircraft that suddenly crosses your pov, or a PE8 bombing a cap, or colliding with a friendly plane during a mass dogfight. Is it for players who were reported? Or repeated offences or is it literally 2 accidents in a single sim match. Would it be possible for gaijin to specify the perimeters of what’s acceptable? Ultimately accidents do happen i just wouldn’t want to start playing sim with the fear of if i make a mistake I’ll be banned.

That can be only assumed in a scenario when the game works at 100% efficiency 100% of the time. But the game suffers from an assortment of bugs, some of them result in an accidental TK due to bad coding. I had missiles pull 180 off the rail going for my teammate 2km directly above me instead of the hard locked enemy coming at me from the front.

Brother, I got teamkilled by my friendlie´s FLARES!!! How is that his fault??? Should he be banned for 14 days because he teamkilled me with a flare?

Fix your game first.

Also explain to me why should anyone ever spend their money on this game, when they can at any time lose access to it for something that could not even be their fault?

This is not right. You are literally creating another Freebrumz fiasco. This will backfire on Gaijin massively, you will see.

False banned for TK? How? Your friend took the controls of your vehicle when you were in bathroom? Or one of other regular stories we here to justify rule breaking behaviour in game?

Let me rephrase, if the threshold for temp bans is so low that I can get caught by it, then the system isn’t working properly or gaijin has made yet again another braindead decision and either way I’m not going to stand for it.

Because your threshold for bans is apparently tiny my guy, not that you aren’t aware, yet another huge gaijin blunder lmao keep em coming

Given all of that, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say they absolutely do look into reports, and that the people who are being punished aren’t actually being as forthcoming with how many TKs they commit.

What Gaijin really needs to do is model the Radar/RWR/IFF systems properly so that people can properly ID friend from foe.

I think it also very much comes down to how you handle it and the person you managed to TK handles it; Most times, if you apologize in chat and seem genuine about it, I imagine people won’t report you. As far as I’m aware, they need to actually report you in order for something to happen.

I’ve certainly managed to TK people in sim battles (and in RB with the occasional bomb, that was dropped in an area where there were no friendlies, before a friendly then managed to swoop in and get killed too). I’ve yet to receive a ban or a warning though, if my memory serves… I have been here since CBT though, and I don’t have the greatest memory ^^"

Somebody NOT being banned does not mean that EVERY ban that was done was correct. Please use logic.

I love how I did 40 TKs and I played air for maybe last few days, before that I was full on grinding ground…

But yeah I belive you guys gone thoroughly in each and every single of 30k banned and who knows how many not banned accounts… seems legit to me.LOL

Unrelated, but when would a user be temp banned for exploiting? Isn’t that always a perma?

I’m not outright saying there can’t be false positives. I have experience in moderation in other games. False positives happen, it is up to the user to make an appeal and explain the situation politely and respectfully, at which point the case will be reviewed once more.

Seems like damage control. They wanted to ban a huge lot of players but not single any players out

You don’t have to admit fault to something you genuinely believe you didn’t do/admit fault to a punishment you feel is unfair, but you also need to maintain a civil composure. Moderation staff are people too, and they make mistakes.

i will honestly say i have teamkilled in the past, mostly on accident, sometimes out of personal gamer rage
but that it states that you can get permanently banned in the future for teamkilling when it is simply a feature and effect within the gameplay then is proposterous or even silly
we already get punished with a hefty SL fine and if you do it twice you are booted from the match, this is enough, or increase the SL fine if anything.
But if simply the act of playing the game gives one the warning that you can and will be permanently banned in the future is just simply silly dog.
