Fair Play: November 2024

All reports are manually reviewed, mass false reporting does not work and may get the players that do them in trouble instead.

Haha, all these happened to me as well (long ago, luckily). Last TK I did was on a AI base patrol Sabre I fired at because our base SAMS were firing in his direction. He was alone, (the second base patrol was already dwoned by the enemy our SAM was firing at), so I thought that base defender was the enemy.

Set him on fire, didn’t kill him, but as the fire was damage over time I got kicked from the match. He even landed right next to me, alive but burning.

But as I say: my mistake, my responsibility, only me myself to blame. Too greedy to try get an easy kill in while on final approach…

I mean just scrolling the exploiting list it looks about 33/66 so there must be something classed as “exploiting” that isn’t just like straight aimbot

I think it depends on the offence.
Perma ban is for people who really crossed the line.
For other abusers there are long, but not perma bans.

If bans for team killing is going to be something more likely to be handed out… Wouldn’t it only be fair on gaijins part to remove captured vehicles from Sim to remove any confusion along with any excuses for accidental team kills.?

so you are telling me in months of gameplay and that I have only tked a couple of people in that time, so you are telling me I have a chance of being banned. welp I’m cooked. MY MONEY!!!

I don’t think it’s that black and white. I’m sure that they (Moderation team members) look into a report before deciding to act on it.

He has a point about SIM. Teamkills are way more likely to happen there for obvious reasons, especially in the top tier fox 3 era. I almost never had any teamkills in sim despite being new to it before fox 3s came along. Now it can happen occasionally

I cant wait to see half the Air RB and Sim play base leave because of this. They wont want to chance getting a ban. Also Im not going to be helping any friendly air with planes after this. They can fly and die alone.

I’ve done that by accident once, A British car looked German and pointed its gun at me so I fired
the other guy drove into my arty with an open top so that was his fault as well

I got a 1 hour temporary ban for teamkilling, this is my very first game ban in my 7 years of playing this game and I have two questions:

  • How far does the gaijin moderation team look back in time to see how often you offended? Have reports been accumulated that resulted in my ban or did it happen bc of recent teamkills?

  • How often can I reoffend. With how missile combat, bombing etc goes, teamkills will happen sooner or later. Do you have to be extra careful now, sine gaijin properly moderates these things or are 2 or more teamkills per week nothing to worry about?

What i think MANY players here miss is that it isn’t only straight up killing that gets punished (i’m not 100% certain here as i have practically no knowledge/information on this specific ban-wave, but they do say in the main post “for teamkilling (including intentional ramming)” so i assume that the other rules might also apply here).

Code of conduct:

Lock mav at enemy AA, that is sitting in respaw, and fire it.

Mav TK an A-10 that decides to pass fly low at enemy respaw to kill other enemy AA at the same time my mav is reaching there, how im supose to prevent this?

Awesome start, definitely think gaijin should do a post because let’s be honest this information is probably buried, it makes sense to make players aware after what seems to be the first in a large published ban wave for team killing. Thanks for this info regardless.

Hi, I am a sim type player, I play air modes as well as ground modes. I happen teamkills and often, be it on low era bombs or captured machines in the air, sometimes also on top tiers the radar will mislead me. In 10 years of playing this game I have had maybe a few situations where I purposely destroyed a teammate’s machine, but there was always a reason (he was trying to destroy another teammate or he did it). The situations mentioned above I have had several. I feel a bit cheated because of the 2 week ban…

is there any way my 1 week ban could be reduced? 2 of my friends also got banned but for much less time, and they did the same things as me, i woulds understand 1 or 3 days but 1 whole week i fell like is a bit overkill for team killng 2 or 3 people 1 day ago without any warning ( i said sorry btw)

I have a suggestion, if it is not already implemented: When an accidental team kill happens, IF the player who got killed clicks the “I accept apology for team kill”, I think that accidental team kill should not count against the player who caused the team kill. Sometimes in GRB, I do NOT mind being bombed into oblivion on the ground IF it helps win the match. And especially if I told them directly in chat to just bomb the capture point etc even though I know it might kill me.

Yes, intentional or sloppy TK’ing should be punished, however, I think clicking the “I accept apology for team kill” response should negate all negative consequences for the TK’er.

Well, this part shows that TK ban was very well aimed.

Would be nice if we got indicators for the AI teammates too in Sim. I feel like that’s not something I’ve ever noticed them have, unlike friendly planes (when you get close enough ofc).

You did more then them if your ban time is longer.
