I took 1 hour of Ban due to 2 accidental weekly tks… I have other tks but they always occurred in more spaced ways… all accidental involving missiles… I was unfairly penalized, and I know other players who are in very similar situations.
air is also the only way for you to make tk happen so easily.
In naval mode, not even torpedoes launched on purpose at allies cause damage, while in air rb a single poorly fired machine gun bullet can generate a tk.
In grb mode only CAS (which involves the planes) and artillery fire cause tk… everything else doesn’t.
Do a statistical survey and see which game mode the bans are happening for tk.
It is mostly in the arb or when not in CAS players…
It may not be affecting the community as a whole, but it is definitely a big problem for airplane players…
…and this is not normal
Even in the air superiority championship this happens… how can a system penalize such a specific niche of players ( plane players )and the company still think this policy/system is “normal”?
Tank players, naval players do not have as high a risk of being unfairly penalized as aircraft players… THIS IS A HUGE DESIGN FLAW.
…and you refusing to admit this mistake is simply pathetic.
Seriously - i see here posts of guys with 8-30 k battles telling others that they don’t feel safe to play anymore because they are scared to get banned as they admit they are unable to play without the risk that they kill a friendly.
What a joke.
I mean this proves again that the threshold of the auto-ban system was way too high. After playing a few matches yesterday i saw way less team kills during the take-off phase than before the temp ban wave. It works.
I still think just a simple timer, with no weapons active at the start of the match would solve so many issues in most modes. I mean they already have the mechanic from the old “Duel” events, I wouldn’t think it to be too terribly difficult to port that over to Random Battles as well . . . imagine . . . no more Air RB runway disasters, no more goobers firing off mg’s, main cannons and dumping smoke at spawn in tank battles . . . what a wonderful world . . . .lol
I am not sure if many remember, but back when there was still friendly fire in tank battles, because of the . . cough cough spawning system we still use to this day, MANY maps had/have single spawn points, or two, but all are so cramped and congested . . . “spawn rage” is real. I saw whole teams just blow each other up at the start of matches because of it . . one guy bumps into another KaPOW!, then another . . next thing ya know . . . everyone was on their second spawn . . . lol(Carpathians dumping 16 guys in a bowl . . shudder). Can laugh about it a little bit now, but at the time . . . yeow, it was a mess.
Point being, player’s behavior(regardless of reasoning) brought it down on all of us. What we are seeing now, is more of the same it seems like. Only takes a few being very abusive to get it to snowball and Gaijin has to come in and take “steps”, and that has rarely made the community happy as a whole . . glares at crew lock . . . lol, just kidding, I don’t have an issue with crew lock myself, but you get the idea . .
As a player being TKd is something that I will usually not report, its ok if it happens as long as the intent to shoot someone is not there. During tight turns, I let it go, players fire missiles based on a lock on they see on their screen, they then hit target X. As long as that initial lock is on a bogie then its fine.
I never play simulator, one of the reasons behind it is team kills and the need to identify bogies during tight turns can be a challenge.
The thing that gets me the most are players using aimbot software, I have reported several players where I have suspected the use of such hidden programs. I also urge you as a game master to try and get someone from gajiin to investigate every single KV-7 game for the IS-7 event. I am suspecting there are players trying to abuse the game play to get fast tickets.
Whilst i share most of your general views on wt you might agree that:
Runway / take-off team kills are solely an Air RB specific issue and extremely annoying
Eliminating the root cause of a problem (here lack of awareness that team killing is destructive) is way more effective than working on symptoms. You won’t stop team killing with timers, only with drastic punishments.
or they can focus on updates and making game fair and better for all… putting this much work over 560 hours per 18 people just to ban people for 1hour to a 2 weeks for TK is wasting everyone’s time.
Focus on fixing your game and making it cheater free, then when you do that then focus on less importnat thinkg like TK since you allowing it in your game and then you punish people instead of just disabling it and not have to put in soooo much work and time into this, so you can focus more on updates and more important things…
Imo, you don’t have to agree but the 14yo tiktok “sigmas” are worse than cheaters, at least the cheaters know when to shut their mouth and don’t blow up a whole runway for 2 likes.
Seriously, after their garbage videos and nonsense comments shows up on my FYP it makes me want to rinse my eyes with bleach. They add 0 positives to the player base.
Again Tik Tok is irrelevant, if they blow up whole runnaway that would be so easy to ban and all of us would agree on that, the problem is when they go soo much into depth for no reason… Again going manually throughout 30k+ reports is waste of time, money, resources… its 2024 Warthunder should have top anticheat, top system that would sort these reports and save up time, resuorces and most importantly MONEY.
But hey Gajin game and Gajin rules that will not bring anything good for them or players.
I’m only guessing here but it would make sense for this in depth wave to act like a warning for those that might not know that some things are against the rules and are in reality nice players once reminded. Those you mentioned will now also get this warning and if ignored: BAM permabanned.
So I view this wave as an extra precaution to sort out the actually malicious players (from those that, while still breaking the rules, might become nice players) before way harsher punishments (like perma ban).
But this is all just personal assumptions and guesses.
When youstart doing this for TKs I guarante you people will stop playing the game and thats just me being sincere. Over TK getting permabanned is just hilarious.
Again IMPO wasting so much men hours for 30k+ reports over teamkilling is waste of time.
But again disabling TK would be smartes idea, but I dont expect that from Gajin. Again after this Im never bringing up full tank line until Gajin starts banning that and also leaving aircraft after I get a kill or destroy base.
Bans for teamkilling shouldn’t happen on sim. You already get a hefty SL fine for being too trigger happy or not identifying an enemy correctly. I don’t play top tiers, but with earlier jets it can be quite easy to accidentally fire off a missile at a friendly if your jet lacks radar/IFF. It can be quite discouraging for newbies who are just learning how to play the game.
