Fair Play: November 2024

Where does it say that? It says that the list are available for 2 weeks. Means that after 2 weeks, you will not be able to access the list.

Doesn’t carry water. There’s plenty of instances, in regards to your example, of aiming away from the house and by the freak nature of positioning, impact, or just luck itself the ball can bounce backwards into a window. Or it can bounce off a tree and fly into a window. The point being that there are circumstances beyond the player’s, or in this case the swinger’s, control that can lead to something you are saying there’s no excuse for.

And again, if this is such an issue for Gaijin, they 100% have the capacity to remove said mechanic and quite literally no one is worse off for it..

Honestly, i would be impressed if the kid hit the ball in such a way that it goes to a tree, does a 180, and smashes into the window.

And in those freak cases, you wont get banned because it wouldnt happen enough.

I would argue that gameplay would become worse. But i guess that is a preference thing

Ah shucks, that’s a team kill. Welp there’s no excuse. He shouldn’t have been swinging for the ball in the first place. He’s even a professional so there’s absolutely no reason for him doing that.

The point is the absurdity of the claim Stona was making.

They have the capacity to keep friendly fire in Air RB and SB as friendly fire belongs to warfare. Removing challenges just because the players are either not able or willing to accept a given set of rules is always a flawed idea.

So the fact that tankers were too stupid to understand this concept of realism and forced gaijin to disable this for tank on tank combat due to the high number of team kills is actually not good.

The pinned TK thread shows that it is an issue for players, and not gaijin.

We have way to much brain-dead “pew-pew” players in this game; disabling friendly fire is the same as lowering recruiting standards for Armed Forces to allow minorities or low performing people to enlist - at the end the overall combat effectiveness is weaker than before.

Given that there’s been 40-50 work days since the last ban wave, or about 350-ish hours of work, you’re talking the full time job for a team of two people for the last two months. Seems pretty plausible.

Love the temp bans on teamkillers.

I absolutely agree it belongs in sim battles, but the argument Gaijin uses for realistic battles is asinine, especially when it was removed for ground battles. There’s no justification for keeping a system that lets team mates kill a friendly nuke carrier. Literally none beyond defending the ability to be an absolute jerk of a player. Or a system that lets someone fire a missile at someone because they got to an outpost faster to bomb it.

Both of which are exceedingly common instances in the game. And that fact someone could be punished for saving a nuke carrier by throwing a SPAA missile at another player racing to down them is wack when Gaijin could just make it so you can’t do that.

It would become worse. The ability to teamkill is an important mechanic. It makes people be responsible for how they use their bombs, how they’re controlling their vehicles, all of that. It’s a skill factor to not just lob your 5000KG bomb in the middle of your own team, for sure. And unfair to the opposition team if your own vehicles cannot be taken out by big bombs and other factors.

Meanwhile most of the job could be automated, like in that game (naming which scored me a mute on forum) that did removed complain option since game can detect FF by itself. Any TK in first minutes with no enemies in sight should be treated as intentional and so on… But FF still gonna happen since it’s just possible.

Solution: If allies in proximity range of the bomb - block the fuse. Teamkills - solved. Responsibility - preserved (since you don’t want to waste munition).

There goes my immersion. What a silly idea.

Immersion in WT? Do you know what IRL punishment for FF on the battlefield (what kind of penalty)?

Immersion he misses…

Your ‘solution’ (game ruining solution) isn’t required, regardless. They haven’t even banned people for accidental tk. These people that were banned were reviewed and found to have done it on a large-scale and on purpose. Friendly fire is good for the game, it happens in any conflict zone, and it should happen here - with the exception of people just doing to troll their own team.

This is just sad.

Sad in a bad way.

You should be banned just for saying it out loud without any guilt.

Do you want stupid furballs where planes collide with each other and spray like idiots without any semblence of realism?

Not for me, losing farm due to game design issues I cannot control nor avoid - not healthy. Reversed damage would preserve tension from responsibility for your fire without harming others who not deserve to suffer from your faults.

Discuss this with gaijin and/or other Ground RB players.

From a immersion and realism pov this nuke mechanic is a joke. Dropping a tactical nuke at the frontline (with friendlies near and the carrier plane within the blast radius) is Arcade.

That is the result of gajins strategy of the past - they ignored it and have an auto-ban system with way too low thresholds implemented. So on one hand they allow rookies to participate with buy-ins at high/top tier - and on the other hand those guys have zero skills due to the lack of experience.

That’s why those players perform stupid tasks like base bombing and kill each other - not because friendly fire is allowed & realistic.

Your last argument looks constructed even if addressed by an experienced player - the majority of players is from my pov not able to process such instances - and plays his own game whilst being allocated to random strangers.

Trying to play the White Knight and protecting a nuke from a friendly with intentions to team kill the nuke carrier is a prime example for the lack of effective deterrence in the past - there is no need for protection from team killers or subsequently avengers of team killed guys if team kills don’t happen in the first place…

@Get_HeshED
I’m playing sim mode and I’ve not been banned for teamkilling, nor do I have issues with IFF (unless China is flying b25js and P38s).

I regularly fly into air supremacy points with a clusterfuck of planes and… I don’t see anyone teamkill. if it gets too confusing, people pop smoke to ID themselves more easily.

This is not to say I didn’t mess up before - aforementioned b25js and p38s from china and b-57s and il-28s have made me shoot teammates before because they were flying suspiciously and were not responding to follow-me.

If you do your due dilligence in air sim you won’t get issues with TKs. Especially considering effective guns range is ~0.5 km or 0.3 km and you get blue nametag at 0.8 km. Guns range improves vs big bombers, so they tend to be my main source of friendly fire incidents as I don’t want to fly anywhere near their guns as they shred planes.

Usually zero. Simply because severe penalties would weaken the combat power of own troops in the long run - so in order to avoid this nothing would be done and decided. Example: The A-10 is famous for friendly fire accidents, try to google any punishment or court-martials for that.
