Except it isnt a warning, it is just saying people reported you. People report each other constantly for stupid stuff. Even I have been reported. If it were an actual issue, you would have had reprocussions, not a page saying basically “hey, people were mad and reported you”.
I sure hope you dont go to twitter of any other social media.
True. i dont take it seriously because i know that internet people will say you did X because they got upset. If someone calls me a cheater, i dont care because i know they are just upset they got outplayed.
my favorite is when they all report for different things so it ends up as a huge list of random stuff.
It is like facebook jail. It is a badge of honor.
I laughed so hard the first time I saw one of those screens when I logged in.
Wats the point of such a message if it isn’t a warning?
What’s the point of such a message of it means nothing and includes malicious reports?
do you know how confusing it is getting banned for 7 DAYS beacause of TK when i have NEVER got any warning about team killing anyone.
Think of it this way… it is like a report card in school. The more that are listed, the higher your grade. You curb stomped enough people so badly that they tried to slander you. Had you done something wrong, you would have been punished.
You would have had to have multiple TK’s to get 7 days, and the warning is in the rules.
I hope we see very soon a full overview of whst gets you banned, how long, how to report an issue and so on…
This whole discussion makes me understand the penalty system less then before…
Suggestion for the dev implement negative type of stats to the player card for example tk’s game violation what type of game violation or make it so so we have access to these kinds of data at least for our own profile. I do not even know if I got ban since I didn’t log in yesterday.
Report via replay, or in-game for chat stuff.
They give a list of bannable stuff in the ToS. They really cant give a set number because if they said “5 TKs a day will cause a ban”, people will do 4 TKs a day.
This system is actually horrible. Before anyone tries to accuse me of justifying teamkilling - i didn’t get banned.
I never play missile era planes, nor do i play sim, so accidental teamkills happen very rarely in my case, but i can understand that to other players it can happen more often.
Although i don’t see a single positive thing about punishing teamkills with bans outside of people who play for the sole purpose of teamkilling, but i guess you can differentiate between those since you have teamkill counting system.
You have effectively made me never even think of trying out any sim mode which are already struggling with low player accounts in the future.
I will never risk my account getting banned for not noticing a decal on the side of russian captured Panther or Panzer 3. With how prelevant the copypaste in this game is, you have to be out of your mind to consider banning for teamkilling in a sim mode. If copypaste didn’t exist in this game it could be understandable, but it does and in stupid amounts on top of that. And don’t even get me started on copypaste planes, recognizing a plane from a cockpit view while it’s manouvering is decently hard even with completely unique aircraft, let alone some copypaste being exactly the same with only like a decal on the side.
Also does teamkilling your squad mate count towards the ban? You don’t get fined for that with SL, so i would assume it doesn’t, but you never know.
Saying something along the lines of “teamkill is a teamkill” is actually ridiculous. Anyone who has more than few hundred hours in this game will know it’s not the case. Teamkills can be very different and don’t deserve same severity of punishment
You got ban in this wave?
It means that you intentionaly TK friends from the team.
No. That will create players who brag on their TK “score”.
That is basically what it does. The only way you are going to get banned purely from accidental TKing is if you are blindly firing at anything that moves.
A couple mistakes wont get a ban. A dozen or so in a short time, will.
I can see a person stack up to like 20 purely accidental teamkills within a week or 2 easly. Especially if they play any of aforementioned sim modes or missile era planes.
Teamkill bans is not something you can hand out based on numbers alone unless it’s like more than 100 within a week or two.
Especially if it counts fooling around with your squadmates after the battle is already won
I understand your perspective sure, I’d rather not have such an thing pop up though as it serves no purpose other than to intimate you’re being warned not to do those things
As said, I’m cool with being warned not to do what i may have done that isn’t ok, I’m not cool with being told I’m being reported for hate speech that I haven’t done.
What purpose does it serve the player to know you’ve been reported for X unless it’s a method to warn them not to continue such behaviours in future?
The way such a thing appears on screen it’s giving a certain level of credence to those reports by having that pop up in the first place
It’s just poor all round imo to have such things if they’re not a warning, and then to include stuff you’ve never done is kinda insulting to some of us
I don’t care for taking fun from knowing I’ve upset others so much by playing well enough they’ll maliciously report me. I’d much rather not be given a message that looks and feels very much like a warning for stuff I haven’t done, and would much rather those who’ve maliciously reported get dealt with.
I’d also much rather teammates and enemy that aren’t that pathetic too and don’t abuse the reporting system to the point it generates that pop up for someone with stuff they’re never engaged in doing
When i played sim, i had maybe 2-4 a week max. As for missiles, i play a lot of high to top tier jets and i dont remember when my last TK via bad missile was.
If you got 20 “purely accidental teamkills within a week” it means that they are not purely accidental. Your way of playing the game is harming your own team.
Shooting to anything that looks like enemy tanks doesn’t mean that if you TK someone, it was an accident.
It’s like speeding on the road with speed limit. You do it inentionally, even if your intention is not to kill (or get killed) in random accident.
If anyone is seeing those TK counts, perhaps a step back in BR or a different game mode is in order
