Fair Play: November 2024

Honestly, fox2 and 3 is not my playground, but I do get it.
At start of this thread, one dude was whining about getting banned because he was unable to identify targets when using TVD in sim.
Thats the effect of selling top tier premiums to the new players…
Go through the tech tree, learn the ropes first. Accidents happen, but will happen less if the players know what they are doing.

Look at the playtime though. Fewer battles yes, but way more time spent in each battle.

that means nothing stona has been playing since 2012 and i have more play hours then stona and i started in 2018

Your reply to a guy claiming that they (gaijin) would hope that banned players would open a new account (and spend fresh money) is not comprehensible as you usually produce rather high-quality posts.

I mean gaijin determines how their game has to be played - and all you can do is to take it or leave it. And as written earlier in this thread: The number of affected players compared to players in a 24h period is extremely low.

If the deterrence of a perma ban helps to reduce the number of intentional team kills i am all in. I actually like this “Punish One, teach a Hundred” approach.

If you’re team killing enough players to warrant a permanent ban, you are either an awful/oblivious player, or an intentional griefer.

I rarely see accidental TKs when playing 11.0 ARB, and I very rarely see them at prop tiers.

It does get more complicated in sim due to captured aircraft/poor quality players. I was just teamkilled in my Mig-21 tonight by another Mig-21 that ignored my follow me pings, and did nothing to get my attention through the chat.

SL penalties for TK already exist. If you TK someone, it oftentimes negates all the profit you made in a match. Maybe instead of a BAN hammer, they could increase those fines. I would be OK if they made it like 200k SL for a TK if it ensures I won’t get a BAN.

Not a win though, people will bomb-> possibly TK. If that’s not possible they will just ram you. One thing Gaijin cannot fix is ramming. Cause your propeller is gonna be broken or gravity is gonna say hello.

If i kill my friend in air rb match does it also count to the tk ?

About 3 hours ago I played a match in which I was accidentally tk’d by another player, the guy begged me in the chat not to report him because he had already been banned for 1 hour and only had 7 days of premium left.
All this because the Fox 2 that he had launched changed target and hit me at the last second.
What points have we reached…
Someone having to beg not to be disproportionately penalized for a simple mistake.

I think they only look at incidents that have been reported by players.

The WT forums aren’t the only place this is occurring Uncle.

This discussion is happening on all Social Media, even on Steam and in terms of WT Steam pops. That’s roughly half or a quarter of the entire WT Population for PC. Though might be also factoring in the console and considering the console is a smaller minority it isn’t looking good.

A few years ago seeing a team kill in prop Air RB between 4.0 - 6.0 was extremely rare. Currently matches without witnessing team kills are the exception.

Even yesterday (before the ban wave) a friendly Yak-3 tried ramming me - piloted by the usual sweatloard. I was able to outturn him at very low speeds…

So you are either a lucky man - or i live i a parallel universe :-)

Have a good one!

I was only including accidental ones, not intentional ones, sorry if I wasn’t clear.

I see a ton of intentional TKs, mostly at the start of the match

You do bring up a good point. Or when people are in a dog fight and you end up flying into someone who was firing. Cause your hell belt to shoot this one plane down.

I remember several months or a year ago I had to shoot down 2 planes simply because they were hell-belt to shoot the entire team before all of us were even combat capable.

They were already in a conversion to do this so had no choice but to act. This was also done after I warned them to not do it. Not that they listened but it was the thought that counted.

I looked at the playtimes and they are about the same added up, so I still don’t understand why Stona is leaving this snarky comment. Stona also mains air realistic and I hypothesize stona spends most their time looking at tiktok while flying. I say that because it would explain the negative stats in both mk IX spitfires for USSR and USA which are notorious for being great planes and brain dead easy to fly.

Someone mentioned in an earlier post that you normally do an analysis to what’s causing the issue (the TKs) and I seriously question whether Gaijin has spent time and effort in understanding the issue.

What they see is the number of TK per player and then (maybe) put that in rlation tothe number of games played and then you get a value. You put a threshold and then you go.

At the same time, Gaijin is selling and now releasing planes with Fox 2 and Fox 3 missiles that have a steep learing curve and make this available to any new player in the game.
So you will get TK’ed by a level 8 with a new Viggen and Fox 3s.
Is that intentional? No.
Is it because the player is inexperienced? Yes.
Is this still encouraged by Gaijin to make money? Yes.

So there is clearly a conflict of interests and Gaijin is not showing any attempt to solve the issue.

There are plenty of intentional TKs which must be punished, that’s why you can report these people and then those reports should be reviewed.

There are also plenty of accidental TKs and as annoying as they are, they can happen to anyone who plays the game. And I, personally, play the game to have fun, relax and enjoy myself and I do apologize any time my missile or my bomb misses its intended target and hits a friendly, but that’s part of the game.
If this should not be part of the game and if it ruins the fun for other people, then Gaijin has the option to deactivate the function completely, as they have done with Ground RB.

The way this ban wave has been done, the way it has been communicated and shifting the blame entirely to the player base has the potential to kick off another shitstorm. Let’s see if Gaijin then comes up with another roadmap to deal with in game mechanics…

I see the point but if u cant teamkill anymore, where is tze risk then in bombong the whole map? In spamming missles at the enemy plane to ks?
It makes it just so much worste in terms of pvp competition.
We already have a braindead player grind issue, that would just make it worse.

It also makes no sense fighting if you have stock teammates, trolls or just plain bad teammates. So lets ban them too.
