So we need to be able to predict the future? Know where everyone will be? That’s not possible
Cant get the replay bc of TK ban
Pushing someone into the water is intentional and should be punished.
Hitting someone with Artillery is either intentional or reckless by whoever called it in or complete ignorance by the person who gets hit. The orange smoke is usually a decent warning.
Missiles are a completely different thing and that’s where the TK issue really sits.
If there’s a chance of TK’ing when you drop the bomb…just don’t drop it. If you can’t learn in a couple drops how long it’ll take or the explosion radius of the bomb, don’t use it. It’s absolutely no fun playing the objective and then getting nuked by a friendly Pe-8/Lancaster/He 111 dropping their large bombs without care.
What about a SARH missile going rogue when a friendly flies between it and the target (I’ve had this happen in the past with an aim7f) I’m talking on occasion not a consistent issue
Lowest recent credible estimate of current daily playerbase, all platforms, I’ve seen out there is ~600k. 25k is 4% of that. Concurrents is not dailies.
If you’re getting enough TKs from firing off missiles that you’re starting to get bans, you need to stop firing missiles at literally every enemy you see. It really isn’t that hard to not launch a missile when friendlies are in the area. Just because you can fire doesn’t mean you have to fire.
TK in Sim is almost impossible not to happen, even more so now that many nations share the same vehicle (p51s, Shermans, Leopards 2, T55s, T72s), so punishing for this kind of thing is very stupid.
I hope you’re watching the replays to actually ban those who are TeamKilling on purpose.
Edit:I got banned for 3 days, I killed some allies, mainly people who tried to ram my plane or shoot at others during takeoff
I reported a guy for teamkilling without getting the teamkills. By simply flying above a friendly and then bringing his plane down on them, or sheering off their tail by smacking it with his wing. How do you all plan on policing this, since it doesn’t earn them the teamkill as a stat?
If I have an AIM-9L and sit 1.2km behind an enemy jet going afterburner and noone else is between me and the enemy, then I fire.
If then the enemy jet flares and evades, the missile misses him and hits a friendly another km down the map going from left to right, then there is not much that I can do about that.
If you think that I shouldn’t have fired at the enemy in the first place, then get lost and play WoT.
You aren’t gonna rack up enough TKs to get a suspension from those kinds of TKs unless you’re really careless with the missiles. I don’t get why you keep pulling one in a thousand missile shot TK’s as reasons people shouldn’t get temp bans for TKing.
What’s the policy around tk’ing teamkillers? say someone teamkills someone and then someone teamkills the first teamkiller, yay or nay?

if you dont know how long it takes for your bomb to hit the ground and explode, go into test flights, go to a certain height, then time how long it takes for the bomb to explode. there you can also safely try out how far your explosion reaches.
-
if teammates are nearby where you want to drop, and it’s realistic for them to get there in time, you shouldn’t throw your bomb there, PRECISELY because you can’t know where they want to go, so dont risk it.
-
especially stay clear off of highly populated areas like capture points if there is someone in reach. it’s the thing they have to do to win the game (and get alot of RP) so there is a high chance they wanna go there.
you don’t have to have future sight. you just need to be cautious and think a little bit about your teammates. and if you end up with a rare accidental teamkill, that won’t get you punished either, other than paying their repair cost.
a big kill-everything-in-100m-radius bomb isn’t something you can use around teammates or just turn off your brain for. if you don’t want to think, don’t use that bomb. simple as.
Ty :)
Can’t be done, TK is TK.
So what justified a first time 14 day ban vs a 1 hour ban?
Because noone has revealed where the magical line is that shouldn’t be crossed.
If I play 8h a day and get 1-2 accidentqls this way and do that for a week, does that get me a ban?
The only info we have been given is that the system counts all TK, intentional or not.
So it is a flawed system and a flawed system needs to be fixed.
rangefinding tells you if it’s an enemy or friendly. it’s almost as if Sim is a slow, more methodical gamemode and not a twitch shooter.
You strike me as the kind of person who would run an Excel sheet for that.
as always, following the easiest path
