Most of the accounts that Gaijin has banned now are using bots to gain experience and in-game currency. However, the through-the-wall see-through and auto-locking bolt plug-ins, which really affect the balance of the game, have not been permanently banned. The former is permanently banned, and the latter is more affected by the game’s balance of only 14 days? Developers, what are you doing?
Ten-year account with 49,000 (!) battles banned today. One less E-100 to worry about. Keep up the good work, Gaijin. (Link)
You’ve no idea of the scale that guy was working on do ya?
Lemme just tell u that it was worse than that
Yea I am honestly surprised anyone is getting banned these days besides bots. From what I’ve seen, they only Ban people in waves which is like once a month lmao.
This is a realistic battle btw.
Meanwhile people like this guy are still playing and ruining multiple matches/the game, for other legit players. Went through and reported 7-8 of his games, highlighting the most obvious cheating known to man, and Gaijin STILL hasn’t banned them and this was literally weeks ago.
Like bruh…
So I dont have much faith in gaijins ability to handle cheating.
Banning in waves is what all devs do. Delayed banning harms cheat developers.
That’s not even really true, most games dont have anti cheats that haven’t been updated in 5 years. A Security analysis team (internally) should be flagging and investigating anytime there is hardware, software, program or script outside of the games base coding and banning hourly. The only time Ban waves come into effect is when a new cheating software is detected. Basically Gaijins EAC is an outside security/3rd party team, not an internal one. And I suspect, when you send in a report, it goes to EAC NOT War Thunders team. Even though Moderators/Forum Mods make false claims saying “it goes to game masters” which makes me laugh.
I reported a cheat developer a few months ago, however EAC doesn’t ban cheat developers right away until they can discover what exactly that cheat is defeating & connect everyone to that cheat at the same time.
That way the developer can’t learn from it when it finally happens.
Banning one guy means nothing if you can’t take down the entire operation with them.
Maybe you’re right, but we’ve been hurt by cheaters for too long, and have been waiting too long :(
It really isnt all that hard detecting such changes in the game files and scripts, just need a dedicated team. Something War Thunder clearly does not have. It is probably not very important on their end.
Either way, just ran into another known cheater I’ve reported weeks ago specifically nov 15th, just blatantly aimbotting and tracking players through walls.
Nothing pisses me off more than a company letting cheaters abuse players.
I hope you check “PiscesSs” replay at map test site-2271 on December 3, 2023 at 23:01. I thick he use cheating software, specifically wallhack. Please check and ban that account (PiscesSs)
If you want to report someone, please use replay system and create valid report. Game Masters will check it. Thanks!
I hope that by the end of this month his name will be on the banned list
I sent in multiple reports and yet to have any bans. So clearly game masters are not checking. Maybe its because the cheaters are playing russian vehicles and yall dont want to ban russian mains.
it really isn’t. banning instantly would in the long run help the cheat developers since they would have an instant feedbackloop on what to fix in their program to avoid being detected. thus making there be more cheaters in the game continuously.
Banning in waves makes it so that all those cheaters are going to have to wait for a fix since the creators wont know what change they made that got them caught and needs to do a lot of tests and rewrites. so some of those cheaters will grow bored of waiting and stop playing/not buy that cheat again since they got caught.
You would not get mad at a cheat creator if they got out a fix within hours or the next day. if it takes them several days or weeks people are going to stop buying those cheats.
Yea see the thing is, getting banned doesn’t actually help people who write the cheats or scripts KNOW what’s been caught. Script writers have access to inside information about internal servers and specific files, sometimes that’s an inside deal/job.
Not all cheaters should be banned right away in a wave, if EVERYONE thats using a cheat got banned on a specific day, THAT helps the script writers know what to change, if some people are singled out, and it’s a gradual thing, it adds more confusion to what’s been caught and what hasn’t been. Ban waves actually help script writers prepare for a fix. Plus on top of that, most companies send cease and desist letters to cheater sites and companies with threat of a big league lawsuit. That type of threat would/should be enough since Gaijin would obviously demolish them for a big payout, but since this is an international game who knows.
In reality, if cheating will always be apart of this game, upon confirmation, Game Masters should initiate region locks or force cheaters to play against each other in locked lobbies and servers until the cheater files and let them plead their case. Also allowing actual Techs to scan PCs (which they should be doing on a regular basis at this point for any report made/filed} like most normal game companies with actual Game Techs that spend their time investigating these type of cheats.
Sending replays to “Game Masters” like these Mods parrot, is just a waste of time and does nothing in the long run, I’ve sent in so many blatantly obvious cheaters timestamps in with multiple games, I even keep tabs on these accounts, and these accounts are still here.
Regardless, Gaijin needs to give us notifications like COD did during Modern Warfare release that let us know that one of our reports lead to a ban. That gives us actual confidence to the companies competence. Because right now as it stands, BOTs are far more important to Gaijin than actual cheaters since cheaters tend to buy premiums to cheat at higher levels, when bots bypass the entire progression tree and not pay, simply by doing nothing.
Forum indicates that a new ban wave is on. I have checked a few accounts but this time I find no Moffet with 5000 battles and 50 kills. They all owned several premium vehicles.
Banned people usually know friends whom they suspect to have done something wrong when they let them use their account.
We’re gonna see a lot of claims/excuses.
It’ll be interesting how much they can say about their methods to justify their actions on the next “Fair Play” for sure.
An unknown Chinese player has submitted codes of 20 different cheat services. It is likely that Gaijin can use these cheats in reverse to investigate or to just ban using codes. This includes both cheats, and botting services, which are cheats too.
I highly suspect someone in gaijin steals these codes and distribute them as cheats. Bots in ground assault is known for locking onto certain parts of player vehicles such as barrel/breech, and it may explain why such kind of cheaters are hard to ban because they may be made with little effort converting game codes.
It is very likely that gaijin will have to fire some of its engineers, if that is the case, and also lawsuit them since it hurts the game revenue.
I saw this on Reddit. What a gigachad for doing this.
He is being doxxed because…well, monetary interests are involved. But he has already contacted the local government for personal safety worries.
