Unfortunately it’s not. It’s the way this game is intended to be played, it’s valid tactic according to them. It’s scummy, it takes no skill, but apparently most of community supports it the way it is. Community is full of toxic low lifes hating fair play because that’s how Gaijin likes it.
You called me bad for dying to “OP” planes, so I showed you via statistics how you are many times worse than I am, implying your opinion comes from ignorance while mine comes from experience.
Yeah, I forgot I let my brother play it. Here’s my stats with it on another account so you can remain BTFO. 5 games, 17 kills, 0 deaths. One of them is a 7 kill game I have the replay for, and I played rather poorly that game too - bad aim, poor decisions, didn’t matter, the plane’s insane performance got me out of my mistakes.
If I remember rightly, it was 10 kills on my main account that were mine, can’t remember how many games that was in. So 27 to 0, without even trying.
I know you’ll claim I’m lying about my brother, so you can dogfight me or shut up. I’ll give you a (very) practical demonstration on how you are oh so wrong.
Perhaps it’s less of a problem for me, as I’m the player you speak of who will disengage from anyone flying to his airfield. If they want to re-arm, fine, but I like to signal early to them that I’m not going anywhere near their AAA, so they know if they don’t want to die they can J out.
This usually works pretty well. The vast majority of player will leave their AAA bubble if you just give them the space to do so. I think the issue is players can’t tell the difference between the chronic campers and the average player. They don’t give the “camper” a chance to leave, because they assume they won’t.
I have no problem with base AAA, as attacking landing planes is pretty unsporting, but I agree there does need to be change to make chronic camping harder, while still allowing players to land in peace. I think if we deal with the minority of griefers who refuse to J out or fight, the rest of the players will get the idea to just let each other leave the airfield.
I wasn’t even talking to you and you passive-aggressively tell me that maybe I just don’t like dying to certain planes. I proved you wrong with statistics, and now you complain that I’m insulting you.
I didn’t say that you insulted ME… I said no-one deserves to be labeled as Loofah and you are doing by saying they are skill-less to get you in that manner…
It’s not unfair, it’s not against the rules, and there are counters for it.
I don’t have the time to hack anything. I work a 9 to 5 just like some of us do and only play for an hour or maybe two nowadays before I have to go on about my day again. Do you really think if I would have the knowledge and skills to hack like you claim I do, wouldn’t I try to just simply make or hack another account and be done with the whole situation? No sir, I’m simply here to maybe help save my very old account that I’ve worked on through blood, sweat, tears, and maybe a buck or two. Something you and everyone here who is a true war thunder player will understand. All that grind and for what?
And wasting all your ammo so you have to land 8m.into the game is “sporting”?
It’s a fair game. “Hey, look br0, I went full.commit head on and blasted all my ammo at a bomber missing every shot, I DESERVE safe space so I can circle the AF for the reminder of the game!”.
Seriously? Why?
And people can climb safely to about 2km under AF AAA, so what kind od space they need to “leave”, if they already can get all the energy in the world?
Plus they never leave more often than not. I can as well just sit at 4500m and wait. I won’t get myself into energy disadvamtage vs way more maneuvrable plane just because somebody is AF camping.
Overal, it’s only fair to not protect them.
If someone dies a bit more often because of it, then what?
Are we really caring about griefers and stat padders so much? Everyone else - if they wanted to die less, they can, you know, improve. It’s not like non-griefers survive getting out of AF AAA withiut going back to AF AAA unless they’ve built up their energy in their high performance plane - but then, how fair is it to the guy who spent their time, ammo and energy forcing them to land in the 1st place?
I had a game where I killed several guys in Re.2005 and was left vs P-51H. Thing about Re is that it’s slow. But I damaged the guy, and he ran out of WEP and ended up below me. I proceeded to run him down, but it took to long and he got to AF. Of course when he returned we were back to him being able to BnZ me and eventually the time run out.
Great fun. My enemy made serious mistakes, but was able to avoid any consequences by pointing the nose down.
He did everything “by the rules”, yet it was not fair by any means.
Dude - i am fully aware of this and stated this multiple times in the past. The exchange with the fellow player was based on irl issues.
Imho you simply describe the fact that gaijin feels the need to hand hold US and USSR players with way too low BRs on average - just in order to compensate the rather low skill floor of their average pilots.
If i see a mid to late '44 Yak-3 i see a BR of 4.3 similar critical. From an irl perspective the y fought 190 F-8, A-8s (at 5.0) but in a fighter role vs 109 G-14, then G-10 and then K-4 - so the first being 5.3 and the later 2 at 5.7…
Same with US stuff like F8Fs, P-51 D-30s at 5.0 - which never saw combat. And these are just the most obvious examples.
So i see no “Fair Play” in facing either fantasy stuff like XP-50s or 1953 service aircraft like Wyverns whilst flying a 1942 WW 2 prop. This “combat performance” BR setting policy seems to be working just in favor of US/USSR props - look at seriously overtiered Italian or JP props.
I mean it is no secret that PC users have sometimes bad wifi and use artificial speed “enhancers”, but can you some of your IT guys exclude that there are not hidden and sinister guys with input lag cheats at work?
Based on years of experience in “real” shooters, input lags are either used as an active cheat to make you slower in 1 vs 1s (as you have a less reaction time and move relative vs the cheater slower) or just a side effect of other cheats (aimbot, wall hack, etc.).
I asked this because for months i observe a massive spike in “server connection lost” matches - and connection losses happens (what else) in the most inconvenient moments in Air RB - so whilst diving on an enemy or in the middle of a turn fight.
Usually you are dead when you respawn in such cases (by closing wt and rejoin after “would you like to rejoin the running match”).
I just came out of a prop Air RB match in which i lost connection 4 times - and managed to respawn 4 times without crashing in the meantime.
Glad to see you’re taking action, but it’s little less accounts banned than I thought it would be. I can assure you, in 1 out of 10 games right now, you will see sus players. Is it because China only server was removed and those players now play on other servers? I don’t know.
The increase in cheaters is clearly visible and it’s not “skill issue” people like to throw around. It can’t be people using ULQ either as ULQ now is a more of a hassle than a benefit.
People shooting through trees, smoke, when you’re hidden behind building/rock, is dead giveaway that something fishy is going on.
I am pretty aware Gaijin must know about YouTube channel W.T.C.S. (aka War Thunder Cheat Shaming).
He explains it pretty well. Don’t let this game die, because of your own negligence, please.
Well, I’m “glad”, so to speak, that I am not alone, lol… but the other nefarious part of this reality is the fact that all these forums are “trolled” by some guys always blaming the normal players, lol…
Just so you know, there are instances where smoke doesn’t actually render on another players screen. I’ve popped smoke and even in the replay, it doesn’t show, but on my screen it did.
